Nefera sits on the grass and watches the training for about an hour and a half before she starts looking uninterested. I didn't blame her. Unless you were participating or teaching, practice could be tiresome to most people.
Besides, she had other things on her mind. Nefera kept thinking about it. Even if I kept insisting, there was no reason to worry. So how did I ease her concerns?
An internal challenge to an Alpha is rare. We're a community, a family at the end of it all, and the pack members aren't interested in issuing threats or taking over the leadership position. A challenge will generally come from another pack wanting the territory or something like that.
It's not to say it's not impossible. I've been challenged three times in my life. Twice was by other Alpha's who wanted to take my pack by force, and the third time happened right before I took over as Alpha.
