"This didn't go the way we wanted it to" - muttered Shizuku as she looked at the Dagon group, or as they knew them, the sea tribe, the same race Myu belonged to, they were on the ground with all their bodies sore from the beating Cloud had given them, and it wasn't as if he could blame him for beating these guys up, after all, they had insulted Shea.
"Listen, you can insult me all you want because I honestly don't give a shit what a bunch of weak insects like you guys say, but I'm not going to let you insult my girl," Cloud growled neutrally as he felt the bunny girl's large breasts on his back.
"Thank you, Cloud ~!" - Shea exclaimed with a face red with happiness and embarrassment.
Yue stood by the whole time, though Shizuku was sure she was angry too despite keeping her face emotionless.
"N-No, we're going to let a bunch of filthy humans, and an inferior rabbit, tell us what to do" - growled the one who seemed to be the leader of the group.
"Humans?" - Cloud said with amusement as he narrowed his eyes - "I'm not human, Yue isn't either, and even if we were, at least we'd have the decency to speak up before we attacked like mere wild animals!"
The Dagon leader fell silent as he struggled to his feet - "Just say what you want and leave immediately, we don't want you in this place."
"You want to talk now that we beat you up?" - Cloud said disdainfully.
"Cloud, I think that's enough, they already understood the situation, you don't need to keep hurting their pride" - said Shizuku with a frown.
"It's ironic that the only human in the group is the one defending the idiots who insulted her" - Cloud mused while shaking his head - "Ok, let's get straight to the point, in a human city we managed to rescue a little girl of her race, her name is Myu".
"Myu?!" - the little girl's name made the group react, who quickly looked at each other with surprise and excitement.
For the Dagon clan, family was the most important thing, and being reviled by humans and banished to such a remote place, they considered all members of their race as one huge family, especially the children because they were the future of their people.
"W-where is she?" - asked the leader of the group as he looked around, but when he didn't see the little girl he became hysterical - "WHERE IS SHE!"
"Can you calm down a bit?" - Cloud asked with a frown as he looked at the man - "She'll be here shortly, you just have to wait quietly and be quiet!"
The man was about to shout again, but a single look from Cloud made him keep quiet.
Minutes passed, and soon, a few hours had passed.
The leader of the Dagon party was beginning to lose patience when he heard the sound of a mighty roar. He looked up into the sky and saw an imposing black dragon flying above them, but what surprised him was not the beast, but the silhouette that had leapt out of the huge reptile while screaming daddy.
Cloud's expression changed drastically when he saw this as he disappeared from the scene.
The leader of Dagon's group was speechless, unable to say a single word when he saw how Cloud had reappeared and was catching the small silhouette.
After making sure Myu was alright, he returned to the ground the same way he disappeared, with a simple flash, and the first thing he did was scold the little girl for the stupid thing she had done.
"I knew you would catch me, daddy" - said Myu with a small smile - "You are strong and I trust you".
"It's not about trust, little one, it's about putting your life in danger" - Cloud replied as he lowered Myu to the ground and grabbed the bridge of her nose - "I don't think I could look your mother in the face if just as I'm about to hand you over to her, you jump off the back of a dragon that's more than 20 metres off the ground, and end up hurting yourself"
Myu at least had the decency to look embarrassed while the Dagon squad members didn't know what to say.
Myu apologised to cloud before greeting the people of her tribe because she knew them all - "Old Albus!"
"Myu!" - exclaimed the leader of the group as he ran to the little girl to make sure she was safe, only to let out a sigh when he noticed how she was not only in perfect condition, but that she didn't have a collar on her neck or a slavery mark - "I'm happy you're safe!"
"Yes, the bad men captured me and took me to that scary human city, but daddy saved me and took care of me" - smiled Myu as she hugged Cloud's leg, who had grown a few centimetres now that he had regained his real body.
In fact, now that Shizuku noticed, Cloud seemed to have aged at least 2 years, though she hadn't noticed before, because she was still focused on everything that had happened.
"Dad?" - Albus asked as he looked at Myu, confused because he knew that the little girl's father had passed away years ago.
"Yes, daddy!" - Myu exclaimed as she pointed at Cloud - "He saved me, protected me, cared for me, fed me, and made me very, very happy ~! Mummy told me Daddy was the one who did that ~!"
Albus was silent, not knowing what to say as he looked at Cloud with respect - "Thank you for taking care of Myu, and I'm sorry for my bad reaction, it's just that for the past few years we've been suffering from different kidnapping attempts by human slavers."
"I understand your situation, so I'm not angry, but I don't think it's a good idea to attack out of the blue and without proof, because some people are strong and won't accept an apology so easily" - replied Cloud while shaking his head.
"I'll keep that in mind" - nodded Albus as he looked at his subordinates - "What are you waiting for! Thank our guests for saving little Myu!"
"Thank you very much!" - The squad members exclaimed.
"You don't have to thank us, we did it because it was the right thing to do" - Shea said with a smile, and although she was still annoyed by how racist these guys were, she had to admit that she was happy to see that they were as close as her family.
"Come on, Myu-chan, your mum's worried," Albus said as he tried to take the little girl's hand, only to see her look at him apprehensively, "Myu-chan?"
"No! I want daddy to take me to mummy!" - Myu exclaimed in annoyance.
"Ok, you can go inside Erisen, but you'll be under constant surveillance" - Albus said as he nodded.
"Are you sure, Albus-san?" - asked a young Dagon as he looked at his leader.
"Yes, it's the least courtesy we can show to the people who saved Myu-chan" - Albus replied as he looked at the group - "Not to mention that they are strong, so if we even refuse, they could enter Erisen and we could do nothing to stop them. They're only being polite to us thanks to Myu-chan, and if I'm honest, I'm thankful that their saviors are them."
The young Dagon nodded weakly before looking at the strange group that appeared to be non-human despite their appearances.
"Do they have a way to get to Erisen?" - Albus asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yes" - replied Cloud as he pointed at the huge black dragon.
"Oh, right" - nodded Albus sheepishly because with everything that had happened, he had forgotten about the huge scaly beast behind Cloud.
"Hmm, it's been a while since I've passed through Erisen" - said Tio, who was still transformed into a dragon - "It made me want to try their traditional food."
"A member of the race of the [Dragon Men]?" - Albus said in surprise as he looked closely at the towering black beast - "Shouldn't they be hiding in the mountains?"
"For different reasons I ended up intervening in the affairs of humanity, and now I am serving as Cloud-sama's companion" - replied Tio respectfully as she looked at the blond boy.
Albus was silent for a few seconds as he felt a deep sweat run down his back, after all, there was only one race that the [Dragon Men] respected, and that was none other than the [Dragons] themselves. He quickly connected the two dots and looked at Cloud fearfully.
Cloud raised an eyebrow when he noticed this before deciding to ignore it.
Albus let out a heavy sigh before telling himself that it was best to talk to the elders so they could decide what to do, after all, a dragon was a creature they didn't want to bother, more so when it had saved one of their children and treated her as one of their own.
"Ho ~? I guess someone is smarter than I thought" - Tio thought as she noticed the change in the expression of the leader of the group of Dagons.
