"Is it true that you can't do anything?" - Alisa asked with concern after hearing what had happened.
"I'm not lying, the ability to return to my normal form is something peculiar to my race" - answered Cloud while shaking his head and twisting the truth a little.
"I can't help you either because my transformation process took years" - Shio replied while looking at the young girl from Russia - "Not to mention that I don't know how I managed it, it just happened."
". . ." - Alisa was silent before giving a small jump as she felt something soft over her head. She slowly watched the one responsible, only to notice how [Sapphire] was stroking her head with her wings.
Cloud smiled at this as [Sapphire] was beginning to show strong empathy for those she considered allies - "I'd say a few more hours and she'll be able to evolve again."
Shio nodded when she heard this as she hopped onto Cloud's shoulder and sat down with a smile. She was starting to enjoy this place, more so when her size was small enough to not make the blond uncomfortable or prevent him from observing the surroundings.
Cloud gave the small girl a glance before shaking his head. For some odd reason, he felt like Kenpachi from Bleach with Shio over his shoulder.
[Sapphire] watched this silently before looking down at her body and growling in irritation, it was obvious that she was experiencing her first bout of jealousy.
Cloud smiled when he saw this because it was as if [Sapphire] was a little puppy who was watching her owner give his affection to another pet.
Alisa watched this silently as she frowned because she felt that they were not acting in a good way in this situation.

Tatenashi didn't know what to say, after all, the information she had received wasn't good, and what made everything worse, was that Sophia and Sakuya had arrived on the scene, and had managed to hear everything.
The poor blonde woman burst into tears when she heard how her boyfriend had ended up, and Sakuya was currently consoling her with an unreadable expression because the words Tatenashi had said were running through her head.
Tatenashi shook her head as she watched her teammate burst into tears, only to look away and watch the general carefully - "I think it's obvious what we have to do. Lindow managed to destroy the leader of the [Aragami], but the situation hasn't changed much."
"How can you be this cold!" - Sophia roared fiercely as she saw how her teammate was ignoring the fact that Lindow had mutated - "Do you really not care about your leader!"
Tatenashi ignored the woman and continued conversing with the general ,only to feel a fist impact her cheek - ". . ."
"Bitch!" - Sophia roared with her eyes red with tears. She was furious at the lack of tact Tatenashi was showing.
Tatenashi watched the woman coolly as she gave her a firm punch in the stomach.
"Ugh" - Sofia could feel the air escaping from her body as she fell to her knees with a pale face.
Tatenashi grabbed her by the hair and lifted her up fiercely, only to look her straight in the eyes - "I don't think you understand the situation."
"I-I understand" - replied Sofia as she looked coldly at the blue-haired woman.
"No, you don't understand anything" - Tatenashi replied as she threw the blonde woman to the floor.
"Ugh" - Sofia let out a groan of pain as she felt her body losing its strength.
"Lindow went out on the mission with the mindset that things could go wrong, he fought so he could save all these people and you, and he continues to fight despite losing his humanity" - Tatenashi said as her red eyes flashed fiercely - "I know it's hard to see how your loved one is gone, but you can't let his memories and convictions disappear with him."
Sophia stood up weakly as she bit her lip - "You wouldn't be saying this if it was Cloud who hadn't been able to return to normal!"
"It's possible, but in this world there's no such thing as 'What if?" - Tatenashi replied neutrally - "Lindow wouldn't have wanted to see you in this condition."
"Don't talk as if you were him!" - roared Sophia as she activated her [God Arc] - "We can still save him!"
Sakuya shook her head as she saw how her friend and companion was in denial phase.
"I'm not going to waste my time with you anymore, do whatever you want" - said Tatenashi as she let out a snort and looked at the general again - "I think we'd better go discuss about this somewhere else."
"OK" - nodded the general as he instructed one of his subordinates to order the soldiers to get ready so that they could leave at any moment.
Tatenashi gave one last glance at Sofia, who seemed to be losing her mind before retreating.
"Sofia-san" - Sakuya muttered as she looked at her companion.
"Come on, Sakuya-san!" - Sofia exclaimed as she looked at her teammate weakly - "I'm sure you can help Lindow!"
Sakuya bit her lip before nodding weakly, after all, this was the only thing she could do to help her friend.
"Thank you" - Sofia murmured with a sad smile - "I knew I could trust you."
Sakuya nodded weakly, only to open her eyes in realization when she remembered how Tsubaki had gone along with the group of soldiers to give support to Lindow - "Oh no."
"What's wrong?" - Sophia asked as she looked at her only companion.
"Tsubaki, she went to Lindow" - replied Sakuya regretfully as she watched Sofia's eyes widen in terror - "Shit!"

Houki was preparing the soldiers to be able to resist the stampede coming towards them.
Tsubaki was still at Lindow's side as they healed him as best they could.
The soldiers were a little uncomfortable with having to take care of one of their enemies.
"Relax, everything will be back to normal soon" - Tsubaki said as she looked at the beast with a conflicted expression on her face. She still hadn't given up hope of healing her younger brother - "I'm sure of it."
Lindow gave his sister a conflicted look before shaking his head.
"Don't lose hope" - Tsubaki said as she bit her lip - "If we manage to survive this battle, we can start looking for a cure."
[If only things were that simple] - muttered Lindow as he squinted his eyes and looked in the direction where all those [Aragami] were coming from.
"Lindow, please" - muttered Tsubaki as she looked at her younger brother. She knew she wasn't acting in a good way, but he was her younger brother, the only family she had left- "Do it not only for yourself, but also for me, for Sofia."
Lindow opened his eyes and watched Tsubaki with a conflicted look, only to turn serious when he heard how the roars of his enemies were getting closer and closer. He slowly stood up despite the sharp pain he felt throughout his body and let out a bestial roar that echoed throughout the place.
The soldiers quickly stood on guard, only to notice how the earth began to tremble. They watched silently as the titanic creatures approached at great speed.
"Ready weapons!" - Houki roared as the soldiers raised their weaponry. The logistics team quickly tried to contact the central base to bring in heavy support.
The earth continued to shake with every step the group of beasts took, Houki and the others were sweating because the pressure he felt could not be compared to previous situations. None of them understood why everything felt worse now, after all, Lindow had managed to not only maintain his sanity, but also kill the leader of the [Aragami], but at the same time, he had given free rein for the world to go on with its task.
"Keep calm!" - Houki roared as she took flight and unleashed all the long-range weaponry she had - "Wait a little longer!"
The soldiers were sweating, but still went along with the girl's instructions.
"A little more!" - Houki exclaimed as her weapons began to glow slightly - "Wait just a little longer!"
Lindow walked to where the vanguard of the group stood and readied herself. His eyes glowed slightly as a feral grin appeared on his strange face. He had to admit that the feeling of hunting was somewhat pleasurable, much better than he ever thought it would be.
"Lindow," Tsubaki said unconsciously as she noticed the change in her younger brother.
Lindow gave the woman a glance before returning his focus to what was in front of him, even licking his lips at the growing desire to slaughter his prey. He was inadvertently changing with each passing second.
