Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

After the football game I text Freedom.

"I forgot to ask. Should we be official now?"

I ask her.

"Why not? I mean we enjoy each other's company, we're overall pretty compatible." She replies.

"Well I'll update my status then."

"Me too."

We made it official. We're officially boyfriend and girlfriend. That's pretty surreal. And in a month and a half we get to graduate. That's insane... Like my mind...

For the rest of that week, the only thing that's really important that is that we have 2 new recruits at work, Dvonte and Kaido. Football season ended two months ago and Kaido got fired from Pizza Palace for being inefficient when dishwashing, he's the new window operator now so that's nice. Dvonte never got a job after football but he felt like getting one now that he gets to leave an hour earlier. He's the new fryman. I get it man, his NFT money is barely cutting it for dates, gas, car payments, and stocks now. He makes maybe 300 dollars a week with his NFTs. Not enough so fair honestly.

Right now might seem like the best time to talk about if we're going to college or not. I never got a scholarship, accepted from like 30 schools, but no scholarship, it wouldn't work anyway. I'm officially a U.S.P. citizen, with a parent that went to college (dangit mom), that's parent makes too much for me to get good aid, mediocre grades without being in a club nor a sport, and Asians aren't considered people of color in Honshu, Shikoku, Hokkaido, and Kyushu. And if I'm gonna go to college out of Honshu, I want it to be some country in either Europe or Africa. The University of Zhaelonistahn seems legit (look up Bir Tawil if you wanna know what Zhaelonistahn used to look like). But it's the most expensive university in the world. Dvonte got into the University of Honshu. Same with the rest of my friends. And Freedom got into the University of Tokyo.

I always wanted to start a business, or maybe become a franchisee of Del Burrito since I've worked here for so long. Getting a degree in business works if you don't know calculus. Thankfully, I do. It's my 3rd best grade. A B lol.

Back to reality, nothing else significant happens until Saturday...
