There I am, surrounded by Alpha team fresh off a monster kill and there in one of their hands is a so called 'Crystal Core' the size of my fucking head. It glowed a faint brown and gave off a whiff of freshly cut grass. I kept staring at it amazed and wondering what it was until one of the guards saw me focused intently on the Crystal.
"Oh, that's right your a newly turned right? You humans never seen anything like this right? It's called a Tier 1 Crystal Core."
Another guard spoke up after that. "It's actually a Tier 1 Earth crystal, you can tell from the slight brown glow and if you lift up your mask you can smell some kind of Earth related scent."
That was amazing, I never seen anything like it but all the same it was beautiful. To think that this thing was inside that giant creature.
"Am I going to have one of those inside me?" I couldn't help but ask in curiousity.
"This? No, we have normal organs just like everybody else... well for the ones who have human origins that is, but for ones who have spiritual origins they have different organs that can give them crazy abilities."
"Hey don't give to much info to the Werewolf, you can see he is still in his beast form right?" The one who spoke was the one wielding the Sniper rifle with a red glowing stripe down the side of it. He looked at me and spoke with a serious tone.
"I don't know why your being so calm... But mark my words I will not be played the fool, I will be ready for when you act out."
BANG, BANG, BANG
"KEEP IT DOWN BACK THERE! THE KEEP IS COMING INTO VIEW SO GET READY FOR HANDOFF!" The voice of the Leader who calmed me down was heard shouting from the front of the vehicle.
"Fuck man, if I knew we were going to the keep I would have called out today." The guard who told me about the crystal sighed and said. That just made me a bit nervous about what this so called 'Keep' was.
"HAHA you kidding me? This is perfect. For an animal like this guy the Keep is the perfect place. We don't know how he could turn on his first day being here and without a full moon so these crazy bastards are the perfect ones to figure it out." That damn rifle guy said with a bit to much enthusiasm.
The way he talked didn't do me any favors. What crazy bastards? What are they going to do to me in there? Should I try and escape again? But then there's the problems of these shackles, they make me feel so weak. Could I even if I had the power?
As I was wondering if I should even try or not I was jerked up into the air as the vehicle hit a huge bump. Then a mechanical voice spoke as if it was inside the vehicle with us.
"Scanning occupants..... Scan Complete."
"Signs of Active Transformation in progress, Please deactivate Transformation or hostile actions will be taken."
I heard a door open and shut and next the leader's voice boomed.
"WE HAVE A HALFTURNED WHO ON HIS FIRST DAY TRANSFORMED! WE CAME HERE FOR YOU TO STUDY AND FIGURE OUT THE CAUSE! HE IS A WEREWOLF TYPE SHIFTER!"
The mechanical voice wasn't heard for a few minutes before suddenly it spoke again.
"Please proceed into docking bay 5."
"THANK YOU!"
I heard a loud mechanical whine and gears turning before the vehicle lerched forward and drove a few seconds before parking.
The back opened up to reveal 2 people covered in hospital uniforms with masks covering their faces.
"Is this the creature?" They asked. The leader came around into view and stood infront of the 2 people.
"Yes, this is the Person..... HE turned into His beast form shortly after being injected with Primal Shifter blood to enhance his healing. We need to find out why this happened and fast before the next full moon. He is to be well taken care of by order of the Shifter Elder, any harm done to him outside of figuring out the cause will be grounds for hostile action got it?"
"Yea, yea, don't threaten us you mangy mutt. You know full well we have Immunity to your little government rules. Just leave the beast here and get the hell out."
I started squirming and trying to break free after hearing that. They don't care what an Elder said? Granted I never met the guy but seeing as how they were the Elder and obvious leader over an entire species you'd think they'd have some major pull.... But these guys just ignore it? Hell No, I am not staying here.
"The subjects resisting, quick go bring out the sedatives." One of the 2 unknown men said and very quickly the other one raced off with speed fast enough to whip up wind.
They came back quickly with a needle filled with some slightly green tinted liquid that they quickly injected into my thigh. I roared in pain but before long my mind went hazy and I was starting to lose consciousness.
"Send him to wing F. make sure it is a fitted with Wolfsbane shackles and lined with silver dusting."
That was all I heard before darkness set in.
--------
I woke up to someone slapping me. A plastic feeling that only comes from someone wearing a glove.
"Wake up Patient 649. It's time we start the conscious tests now." A voice spoke with a soft caring tone but the words they said gave me nothing but goosebumps.
"Where-where am I?" I asked as the light from above stabbed my eyes until finally they adjusted to reveal a room covered in weird looking circles with what looked like old school viking letters in it. I noticed that I could speak again and realized that I was now back to being a human.
"You are in your new home. We are the ones who will be your caregivers from now until your death. We need you to be a good little shifter and help us figure out why you transformed without a full moon ok?"
I could tell by the voice that it was a woman but her eyes had a crazed glint to them. Behind her mask I could make out a wide smile judging by the creases it created. I was super uncomfortable but I could tell I was nowhere near someone who could actually help me.
"What about the Elder's permission, surely they wouldn't allow me to just rot in here?"
"Oh don't you worry your pretty little brain about that. We here at the Keep are well above those silly little laws of yours. We decide what happens inside and the surrounding area of this building. We are like a little nation full of superpowers strong enough to fight the world."
"Oh.... ok...." What the hell was I supposed to say to something like that?
"I need to go get supplies for the upcoming tests, in the meantime why don't you sit here and patientaly wait." Then with a slight touch of her hand the bed that I was on quickly latched onto my arms and legs and tugged me down onto the bed in a slightly spread position.
I tried to resist but somehow the restraints were making me feel weak. That's when I remembered the last thing I heard before passing out. I looked around the room and more closely at the weird circles that decorated the room. They were all made out of some kind of silvery substance that looked fresh as some had the liquid slowly oozing down the wall. I had a feeling those circles were added because of me.
I was glancing around the room and hoping to spot somekind of weakness to exploit for escape but I found none by the time the woman came back. This time she was wheeling in a cart that had a tray filled with syringes of silver liquid mixed with green, and others weer a deep red crimson color with dots of bright orange.
She picks up the silver one first and puts it damn near into my face as if she was a child showing off a new toy.
"This one is Quicksilver, I mixed it with a weaker variation of the sedative we gave you before. It should numb you enough to help you handle the pain but still show enough results to help us understand some things." She sat that down then picked up the next one.
"This is Primal Shifter blood mixed with the melted remains of an Ancient Tier Boss creatures core. It should make you shift into your beast form but the blood of the ancient should cause unknown mutations. This one is just for my own personal enjoyment hehe."
The crazed look she had that only seemed to intensify as she was talking about her having fun was more than I could handle. I thrashed about on the bed in the hopes that the restraints would break. I lashed out at her with my teeth even as a human I would rip her throat out or bite her arm, anything to get out of here and not have to be tortured.
I swayed from side to side and all the while she just watched me, hell she took notes. I eventually tipped the bed over and my right arm was freed. I quickly undid my other arm before my legs and stood up to face the woman.
"Let me out of here right now!"
"Sorry, no can do."
"Just let me go dammit!" I stepped up to her and grabbed her throat hoping to intimidate her.
"I will kill you if you don't let me out."
"No you won't. I'm afraid you lack the mindset to kill me." She grabbed my wrist and squeezed as I heard a snap.
I was on my knees in seconds screaming in pain as I saw that my wrist had been broken and the hand was limply laying in a bent direction.
"You wouldn't kill me even IF I did half the work for you. Your soft human, You were a mistake that we tend to dissect and learn from. We will use your body for untold amounts of torture until you break down and die.... Hahaha, what am I kidding. Your a werewolf now, your kind can't die from silly little things like a few dissections."
My eyes widened at how enthusiastic she was speaking. My mind was still fighting back against the pain but I noticed that slowly the pain was decreasing almost to the point I couldn't feel it anymore. The only reason I could feel the pain was because my wrist was still broken and not set.
"Silly me let me fix that."
SNAP!
"There we go a~~ll better now." I could barely hear her over my own scream as she set my wrist back in place like it was the simplest thing in the world.
"Your healing should have already taken effect. Ope see? Already your wrist is healing back better than ever. Did you know that Bones when broken and reset become slightly denser and harder to break when fully recovered? We intend to find out just how hard you bones get during your stay here."
She turned around and as she left she started giggling. The door slammed shut and I was then left all alone with nothing but the slowly diminishing pain in my wrist and the horror of what to come playing in my mind.
