Chapter 5 - the tower is for strenghs (2)

Okay, I know my goal but I was a little intrigued, it's not just the beauty that enchants the elves, I would like to use this to find out more about their culture and worldview.

what i know is: they are human beings but a genetic mutation due to mana in the world, they lived in the same conditions as humans but they developed better eyes to see farther and better, bigger ears to hear in the deep forest and physical and resistance to many challenges like diseases, poisons and the weather.

but with the interference of the tower their culture never got on the internet or close to ours, but it must be only 10 or 20 years from the industrial age, as for the tower, many who try to climb do it for honor or power in their own "lands" but elves see the tutorial as the initiation of the youngest, so we can see from kids to adults here, but pretty much everyone is in the 15-18 range because that's when the initiation starts.

Because of that the death rate increases because different clans meet for the same test and that causes various conflicts, I can think of how they reacted when humans came in, probably wars and couples formed because of our similar aesthetics, but I think that war is most likely.

I started to walk towards the middle of the forest, I could hear in the background the battles ending, after all we needed to reach the top of the mountain in just a few days, by the way, why does it have the same name as the land?

Come to think of it, because I didn't get paid for being the first human to step on the tower, that opens up the merit that I'm not the first, or maybe that doesn't even exist here.

booom

One of the elves was launched breaking some trees, I soon got ready, the battle was getting close to me.

I had already noticed but it was a nice move to have this outfit, most of the elves allocated in the "guilds" were wearing good clothes but still made of leather, the ones without guilds wore almost everyday clothes, my clothes provided me security, defense, vitality and agility, the complete package.

the forest was dense, and worst of all it was very extensive to the point that the mountain seemed smaller than it really was, of course we had clearings and then some more hills to climb but we would get there at some point, elves may be an evolved species but aren't geniuses from birth, I can be sure I'll pass here since teen elves pass.

noticing what that guy told me i need skills now, at least one name and as many traits as i can, so i need to find monsters, but into the forest i'm likely to find it, come on!

using the same steps as before, I started to run towards the middle of the forest, the stones on the ground were cushioned with soft soil so there was no problem running.

I was very fast, faster than I ever was in my old world, passing through the trees I could see some elves going through the trees and others on the ground, even some a little injured.

"damn, if only I could find those two"

I ran for a while longer, but between the trees and the crazy speed of the elves I soon distanced myself from them, I was walking normally now, while walking I started to hear small noises, like footsteps, but of much smaller creatures.

"that"

a magic circle appeared next to me, from it my spear began to appear with a blue light wrapped around it, I grabbed it pulling forward.

Soon the monster appeared, actually it was just a small feline annoying and weak creatures, but I still needed to fear them.

▶you can now rudely communicate with all creatures

▶you have gained the ability to understand roughly what hostile creatures are talking about

" this! now ridiculous creature, talk to me!"

The thin-looking feline had shallow green and yellow fur, was a little smaller than a tiger or lion, if I hadn't prepared I would have run away.

"meow" the feline made a sound, it sincerely sounds like the imitation of a cat's meow.

Now I understand, he's like a baby, there must be something really big around here, I'd rather live.

I took another dash to get away from the creature, I jumped hard again to the top of a tree, I felt my legs give out slightly, but I grabbed the tree and held on not to fall.

From a distance I could see the first clearing located in a depression where water flowed, the trees were slowly stopping to exist until they were 100 meters from the water, on the other side the same.

from afar i saw that it was the first stop of the elves, but soon i started trying to locate those two, or at least one of them, my eyes were not as good as theirs but i could tell by the clothes, i could find 15 or 20 more people without team, but there was something I wanted, like in a cliché elves are supposed to be good at archery right?

I saw several of them wearing medieval clothes made to use bows so soon I could find one, there was an outcast who couldn't reach the river, he was smaller than the others and seemed to be suffering from social exclusion even from the others without a team, it was this one that i would ally myself, but first i need to look strong, and heroic, when someone gets into trouble with him i will go there and 'save' him from danger.

I hid in that tree while watching those people, it was interesting the way they acted, they looked like children, it was like the god said, there is nothing that separates humans from elves, only the place where they lived.

actually I could see elves with strange clothes, strange weapons and acting strange so there was no difference at all.

honestly I was never an outcast, even at military school and in the army I was always very popular, but seeing this is starting to affect me, it's been more than 4 hours and they still haven't let him near, no one makes direct contact or passes close by I think a target with low self-esteem is better.

was sitting comfortably in the tree, the sun was probably marking 7 o'clock that day, so I decided to get up and try to approach him, a risky thing because I didn't know why they were avoiding him.

I pressed my leg as hard as I could, but before I jumped I noticed something, my eye ability could see the user's mana running inside him, maybe that would give me a clue.

I then activated my ability, a magic circle of my eye glowed as I stood in it.

"which..."
