Waking up to a bright beautiful day, Kyra felt so overly excited, why because it's weekend, which means, she will not be undergoing bullying any time soon. And to top it all, she had no nightmare.
If that wasn't something to be happy about, then she wondered what is.
She knew she won't be leaving the mansion, but at least, it won't be bad enjoying her moment of peace, with some cool music while drawing what she loved most. And that is the green vegetation.
Making a drawing of the green woods, gives her the feel that she would soon be visiting the woods in all fours, as was her most favorite thing she anticipated for.
The day she will finally be free to go to wherever she wanted to.
That day is just around the corner. Kyra kept using this as a leverage to give herself the encouragement that things will get better the moment she comes of age.
Like her father always told her. She's his heiress and princess, and she should never, for once, give the others the opportunity to see her as weak. She believes her father though, but still, she couldn't help overcoming her fears, specially when there's a bully like Ivan at school.
Every so often she wished she never had to attend the school of the royals, that way, no one will know about her identity, since she's never been to the outside world anyway.
She's curious to know about other kinds, the demons and of course her mother's kinds, known as the vampires.
From the stories she heard about the vampires as was told by her mom, they are known to be nocturnal, which means they could only function properly at night because their powers depletes at the break of dawn.
Her mom told her she was once a nocturnal vampire, at the time she hadn't discovered the king to be her mate. But the moment they were bonded as one, and she got marked by him, all powers between them bonded and since her father was a royal werewolf, he was able to make her mom a royal vampire, since she drank from his blood and he also marked her.
The blood of a royal is compelling for the nocturnal vampires, for only the royal wolves or vampires could give them powers to rule by the day as well as night.
Kyra guessed her situation is different because, she was born as a royal blood. Though no one knows yet what she will become, but she knows if she ever becomes a vampire, she will be a royal vampire since she could walk boldly in the sun.
For this reason, she's curious to know about the nocturnal vampires, and wishes to know more about them.
Even though there are several vampires in the world, she's never seen anyone apart from her mother.
Meanwhile, her mother is just as white as she was, with dark green eyes, she also has dark wavy hair and a glowing skin, to say in a short note, she looks exactly like her mother but has her father's gold colored eyes.
Actually, she's thankful for her looks because she wondered what will if she wasn't beautiful when her bullies never ceases to call her a monster. Those called monsters were always known to be hideous and ruthless, as she was told, but her bullies refer to her as one, all because she has the blood of a vampire running through her veins.
While she was in her room, wandering off on some thoughts, her room door flew open. She instantly stared at the door, wondering who could be so bold as to open the door. Suddenly, Danny and Damian walked in, with a sheepish smile on their faces, and Kyra couldn't help but roll her eyes at them.
"Don't you know how to knock any more before coming into my room?"
She asked, attempting to feign being pissed off.
"Our utmost apologies, Your Highness, we just want to check up on our friend if you don't mind."
The twins replied in unison.
Kyra was about smiling, but she's trying so hard to hide the curve of her lips.
"Ha!, I saw that, she's trying to hide a smile."
Danny said, pointing a finger at her.
"I'm not attempting to hide a smile, but when you all just come barging into my room only to start acting all loyal and innocent is very hilarious if you ask me."
They all began chuckling as they scurried over to meet her on the bed.
"So why are you guys here, am I in trouble?"
They both smirked suspiciously at her, like they were actually hiding something from her.
"Spill you two, don't always keep me in the dark."
"Well, we have to go out to training, but we heard there will be visitors coming, so we decided to take a break."
Kyra immediately shot them a knowing look.
"Don't tell me you both ran away from training, and you are here to use me as your shield again.
They both stared at each other mischievously, but when they met her gaze, they slowly turned their eyes into that of a little puppy.
"Don't even try to give me that face you two, I've never even prepared myself for training, and you are already running away. What do you think the royal warriors will think of me now?"
"A bratty cursed princess who do nothing but lazy about all day long."
Kyra gasped at what Danny had said."
In times like this, she regrets ever making acquaintances with the twins. She has her problems, but these twins are just a force never to be reckoned with.
They are the children if the royal Delta, Adolf Riggs. The twins have been weird right from time, well, that makes the three of them though, but Kyra could say they are worse when compared to her.
They are always on the move for adventure, they dislike the things others liked also, in the same vain, they liked the things others hated. And she's more than sure they decided to make her their friend.
Sometimes she gets taken aback by their weirdness. How the delta came about having such unusual kids, she has no idea. At school, they are bullies. Danny is the female, why Damian is the male. Both are troublesome and a year older than her, which means they have a wolf already.
"Well, you guys can stay here, if you want, but I'm surely not going to become an excuse for you this time." She immediately stood up from her bed and prepared to hear out ti training.
"C'mon Kyra, don't be like that, cut us some slacks will you?"
"Well you two should cut me some too, can't be a bad princess all the time you know."
"You've always been tagged as a bad princess anyway, why do you care about them. Be more like us, who do not give a shit about what they think about us."
Kyra rolled her eyes at their statement. These twins will Surely be the death of her soon.
"Princess Kyra, you possibly cannot leave us behind"
"That's why you should all get prepared because I'm surely not going to wait for either of you, and guess what, I'm telling Delta Adolf his kids"
They reluctantly stood up from her bed and followed her obediently. Kyra smirked, feeling elated about how she was able to make the twins answer to her.
Originally, twins do not answer to anyone as they are stubborn, but when it comes to her, they listen to her without complaints and this makes her feel like she was a princess who at least have the powers to make the twin bullies in her kingdom bend to her.
Some hours later, Kyra was breathing heavily, she was sweating profusely but when she looked at the others, she found out she's the only one in that state.
This is terrible, she kept calculating the time, as to when the training will finally be over. She was dead tired and need a good rest.
"Princess, you should learn to be faster than everyone else here, this is the hundredth time, and you still find it hard to ho past this level."
Kyra looked stared at Delta, Adolf as she wheezed. At this point, she knew she could not stretch herself longer than this.
"I don't think I can keep going, I think I'm going to pass out any time soon."
She could see Delta Adolf's disappointed facial expression, but that isn't relevant to her at all, what she knew, is the fact that she cannot stretch herself no more than that.
"For goddess' sake, princess Kyra, you have to learn to climb faster. Even the pups born yesterday could go faster than you."
"I know, I know, but I can't go more than this."
