Ivan was taken aback by the appearance of Kyra.
He had thought that he would find Kyra ever again.
All the terrible things he did come crashing down on him ever since he lost his dad and the king.
He discovered that no matter what, a united kingdom was better than a kingdom that fought amongst themselves.
He regretted the fact that he couldn't do anything when the enemies attacked. If he hadn't spent his time, hating on a girl who doesn't even have anything harmful around her. He would forever blame himself for what he did.
He was childish and stupid and believed Kyra was doomed. Even though she was doomed, she never asked to be born that way. The best thing they could have done as a pack was to help her reach her goals, not be above her and bully her as he did.
While he was able to escape with the few, he kept thinking of the princess who the tragedy had hit the most.
