I have imagined many scenarios about this ever since I decided to participate in the war. But the reality is nothing near the imagination.
The moment I open my eyes, I was reminded of the war I am fighting today by Halona's whining. Since that moment, I am feeling a heavy chest, I have tried taking long deep breaths but it isn't working. I don't think anything will solve the heaviness I am feeling. After all, I will be fighting with Ace today and maybe we will die.
The thought of death started to bring uneasiness to me. The closer I felt my death, the feeling of uneasiness multiplied by ten times. Despite my feelings, I am determined to die if Ace is killed in this war.
" Be safe," Asha said to Yasmin, Roshini, Nina and me while we were about to leave. I avoid my glance as I am planning to either die from this war or heartbreak. I turn my attention to Haniya who came with Edward this morning, she hugged me and whispered,
" Don't die, we need you,"
All the air inside my lungs was knocked out after hearing her words. Thankfully, Haniya was hugging me for a few seconds otherwise I would have fallen.
After that, we all went to the hall where a few nurses were injecting a special serum so we can endure fox gloves and wolfbane which have polluted the battlefield.
When the car stopped along with other few cars and five ambulances. This is a spot we decided to park the car and shifted into our wolf form to travel the rest of the way.
Unfortunately, I saw Epsilons when I came out of the car, I ordered them to come otherwise they weren't planning to participate. That was because their children didn't want them, I was furious to know that. They are the cause of this war and they have to face their action consequences.
" Remember to release your aura to its maximum," I reminded Yasmin, Nina and Roshini because most of the opponent wolves will choose not to fight us as our aura will scare them off. The three of them nodded to me and at the same time we four shifted to our wolf form.
Then all of us ran towards the battlefield where the Unknown Pack members were waiting for us. Ace was the only one who was in his human form while his members were in wolf form. His members were huge and their bodies were filled with scars more than fur.
" I wanted to negotiate before this war starts," Ace announced looking at Halona who purrs to indicate yes and gave me control making me shift into human form.
" I would like to hear it," I said loudly while we both were looking at each other from head to toe. After all, this could be the last time we will be seeing each other.
" I want this war to be fought as a normal werewolf does. Without using any spells, witches, wizards, kitsune or vampires," Ace said as he looked towards where the invisible witches and wizards were.
This method will cause us to have fewer warriors than they have. But it may have less death than we predicted and by the looks at Ace, he would have the upper hand. As his members look feral so they will put up a brutal fight against us.
" We could use spells but witches and wizards won't take part," I offered my deal. I have learned the forbidden magic and I may use it to protect my pack members if Ace's member is close to killing them.
" I am absolutely fine with it, mate," Ace mutter.
" Then I have no problem as well. We won't be having kitsune, witches, wizards or vampires to fight with us," I announced surprising everyone and making Ace smile at me genuinely which help to reduce the heaviness I was feeling.
" Attack," Ace roars as he shifts. That's when I shifted and we all ran towards each other.
I was shocked to notice no wolf came towards me to fight. This gives me the perfect opportunity to find Ace's wolf Ron, who was busy fighting Epsilon Chris's wolf. His wolf didn't stand a chance against Ron and Epsilon Chris shifted into his human form. He started to beg for mercy which made Ron wage his tail in happiness.
Regardless Ron didn't show him mercy instead, he split open Epsilon Chris's abdomen and started to bite his organs. He didn't eat it but kept on biting Epsilon Chris's organs while Epsilon Chris was too weak to fight or save himself. He was moving his limbs in a random direction calling for his family and friends. I look in other directions to find Epsilon Chris's family and friends fighting many wolves at the same time making it impossible for them to rescue him.
All of Epsilon Chris's pack members then released a low mourning howl. That was when I notice Epsilon Chris is laying down still. He is dead.
Halona and I ran towards Ron who was going towards a weak and bloodied Epsilon Ben.
Halona and Ron circle to each other waiting for the other to attack but neither of us wanted to attack. Then Ace shifted into his human form and said,
" Our wolves won't attack... it's better to do it in our human form,"
I agreed with Ace so I shifted to my human form.
" You could still stop this, Ace," I said in the last attempt even though I know it won't be possible. Ace laughs humourless as he heard me,
" We should be passed that, mate... You have to kill me if you want this to stop," Ace said as he released his claws.
" I will hurt you... I have so... don't think I won't," He said as he circled me around and I released my claws making him stop in one place.
" Let's do it together," I declared making him frown in confusion for a while then he nodded. We walked towards each other.
When Ace was near arm's length distance, he lift his arm to cup my face. Looking intensely at my face as if memorising my facial features. I did the same before I pull him by his neck for a kiss. As we were kissing, I felt his claws holding my stomach but he didn't penetrate yet. He was waiting for me so I slowly travel my left arm from his neck to his stomach.
" Now," He ordered and automatically I followed his order. I felt his claws dig into my stomach at the same time my hand was inside him.
" You were always the purest woman... I met... I never deserved you...or deserved to call you by your name," Ace stammered as he looked at me in calmness. I couldn't find any pain in his face then I looked into his eyes. It was filled with tears but still, I couldn't find pain as we further stab each other making us gasp. I couldn't look at anything else than his greenish-blue eyes. The eyes were still hypnotising as I continue to look. Slowly, I felt surrendered in the darkness yet the greenish-blue colour was there. Pulling me towards it. The more I was sinking in the colour, I felt a pull. Someone was pulling me away from the comfort of Ace and drowning in the deep ocean. Where I was floating into the darkest depth of the ocean. No matter, how much I fought to go towards the greenish-blue colour. The pull was powerful in taking into the darkness. Until I heard an unfamiliar voice shouting, " Mate!"
