The following chapters are from Hui Qing's POV until further notice:
I woke up quite early and I felt a weird sort of feeling. Today was quite a sunny day yet I was feeling anything but happy. I looked outside the window and for a second I thought I saw Ah Lin. He was standing under the sun just in front of me. But when I walked up towards the window he was gone.
"Ah Lin are you really not worried about me being in this world alone?" I asked smiling to myself. "This life already has no meaning to it," I mumbled.
The nurse came in and brought me some breakfast. It was congee. Why was it always congee? Could there not be some dumplings or something? Anything apart from congee will do. What's that smell? It is so familiar. Where is it from?
The door opened and in case Wei Wei and 2 other people I don't recognise. "My dearest Wei Wei you finally came. Is this for me?" I asked whilst pointing at a bag that had food in it. "No, you dearest have to eat light and not oily food," she retorted removing my hand from the bag. "The stuff in here is for me to eat in front of you. Just to annoy you," she laughed as glared at her.
I hopped back onto my bed and started eating my congee whilst glaring at Wei Wei. She sat down on the sofa and opened the food in front of me. I noticed that it was chicken rice. OMG. I want that. "Gu Wei Wei!" I screamed as I threw a pillow at her. She dodged it quite easily. She stuck her tongue out at me. "OMG UHH Not Fair," I screamed.
"Haha. You can't have chicken rice but you can have these steamed mantou and dumplings. My mum made these for you. She also told me to bring this chicken soup," explained Wei Wei as she handed me the food from a bag. "Aiyo I love you so much. Tell your mum I said thanks," I mumbled taking a dumpling. "I detest hospital food. They are so bland," I commented. "What hospital's food is delicious?" Wei Wei asked as I laughed.
I looked behind her and noticed the other 3 people. "Who are they?" I asked addressing Wei Wei. "Hui Qing I heard from Aunty that you lost your memory. But do you not remember them?" Wei Wei asked. I nodded in reply. "She doesn't even remember Qi Yan. How can she remember you guys," muttered Hui Yun as she entered the room. "Mei," I mumbled.
Wei Wei signed and began introducing everyone. "This here is Fang Feng. The one on her right is Cheng Li. We are all in the same dorm at Tsinghua University. We are all good friends. Fang Feng is studying psychology at the University of Tsinghua. Cheng Li is studying biology and I am studying Law," she explained.
"Wait what? Tsinghua University? Start explaining from 3 years ago. The latest memory I have is that we finished GaoKao*(1) and Ze Lin was gonna come back home," I uttered. "Song Ze Lin... he..." Wei Wei began. "I already know," I stated matter of factly. "Are you ok?" she asked whilst I smiled bitterly. Neither saying yes or no.
"So from 3 years ago..." started Wei Wei
