I waited at the front of the door for Ru Yu to come out from the garage. Actually, I lied. Perhaps I don't want to go inside and see Mum and Dad yet. I know they were gonna be a little angry that I called the second brother.
The butler saw me standing at the front of the door and asked why I didn't go inside yet. I gave him a short smile and replied that I was waiting for Zhao Ru Yu. The butler didn't seem to believe me but he still respected my decision and headed inside first. Two minutes later, Ru Yu came out of the garage and walked up to me.
"Why haven't you gone in?" he asked. I turned towards him and gave him a bitter smile saying "I was waiting for you," whilst gesturing for him to walk in beside me. "You ok?" he asked as I nodded. "I'm just thinking about something. It's been so many years since I've seen him. He's finally willing to come home yet it's because of her. He seems to have forgotten about me. Again," I whispered. Ru Yu looked really confused but he didn't ask more.
"Miss Hui Yun," exclaimed one of the maids as she opened the door for me. "This is?" she asked. I began to take off my shoes and change into slippers whilst answering her question. "He's my friend. I used his phone to call the police so I brought him here in case he receives another call from the police. He also took off his shoes and walked inside the house with me.
I opened the door to the living room and everyone's head turned towards me. Apart from my grandparents and Qi Yan and him, everyone was here. This included Mum, Dad, gege, Aunty, and both my cousins. Mum noticed that it was me and gestured for me to sit down next to her. I immediately ran over to her. I noticed that she was shaking as I clasped her hand into mine. She looked really haggard, her expression was just like how she looked the last time Hui QInt was kidnapped. She looked really old over a few hours. This morning she looked so happy yet now. "Mum, everything is going to be ok," I whispered as she looked at me and nodded.
"Where's Qi Yan and Grandpa, Grandma?" I asked curiously. Father looked at me and replied "Qi Yan is coming. And your grandparents are far too old to make the journey here. I don't want them to make the journey here so we are talking via Facetime," as he showed me the Facetime call," as he showed me the facetime call. My grandparents seemed to be using an iPad to talk to us. I quickly greeted them and they also said hi back. "Hui Yun, watch over your mum ok?" ordered Grandma as I nodded. I can imagine what Mum is feeling now.
Finally, Mum noticed Ru Yu and asked who he is. "This is Zhao Ru Yu. I used his phone to make the call to the police so I brought him here in case the police call his phone," I explained as father gestured for Ru Yu to sit on the couch opposite us. There was no one on that sofa so I guess he's sitting alone. Opposite Ru Yu's coach was Auntie and my cousins.
Su Mu arrived right after me. He's not someone from our circle. He's also a psychologist. He met Lin Xue Jie as they worked in the same place. Hence, they soon fell in love. They've engaged already. Their wedding is due to happen on August 8th three months from now. He immediately rushed toward Lin Xue and asked her what happened.
We were all really nervous and scared. Every one of us has a really good relationship with Jie Jie. She was really nice and sweet. Everyone loved her since young. She was everyone's precious pearl. The eldest daughter of the Fu family.
At that moment, Qi Yan rushed in and said a quick hello to everyone. He was a bit surprised to see Ru Yu however he didn't say anything and rushed over to me and asked what had happened.
Seeing that everyone had arrived Grandpa asked on the iPad for me to tell everyone what had happened. Dad placed his iPad on the table and everyone gathered around our coach to hear what I have to say and to talk on the iPad with Grandpa.
I began to retell everything from the moment we left Zhao company. Seeing as everyone had understood what had happened. I finally walked off to grab some water. The maid following behind me handed everyone a cup of water.
