Not long after Wei Wei and Fang Feng left, Cheng Li's doctor arrived quickly and took my temperature again. After taking my pulse the doctor said his prescription. (The doctor is a Chinese doctor)
"Miss, Cheng Li your friend is having a high fever of 39 degrees Celsius. Remember to put a wet towel on her head and have this medicine every 6 hours. The towel has to change when it becomes hot, just wet it again. The medicine must be taken after the meal or it'll harm her stomach," announced doctor Si as he wrote the prescription.
After he was done, Cheng Li sent him out and brought me the congee she had pre-ordered. When you are sick, congee is the best. Cheng Li looked at me sternly and watched as I ate the congee and swallowed the medicine. "Medicine is still the same... Bitter," I muttered whilst Cheng Li replied, "I've never taken any medicine that is not bitter,". I laughed at her words and I got out of my bed and headed to my desk.
Cheng Li turned around and asked me "What exactly are you doing?". I laughed sheepishly and muttered "I need to finish my drawings for the book," I muttered. Cheng Li looked at me as if I was crazy and brought me back to my bed saying "you should be sleeping not drawing. A patient should act like a patient. Besides I thought you weren't going to draw anymore,". I looked at her and muttered, "I wish to draw again,".
My maternal great-grandmother was the person who taught me to draw. She was a very passionate fashion designer however her work was never recognised because she was a woman. And in her times nobody believed women should work. So I promised her on her deathbed that I would bring recognition for her work.
However, I enjoyed drawing more so I pursued this hobby during high school and finally pluck up the courage to post the first episode under the author Jade. Jade was my great-grandmother's name. Well... it was the translation from mandarin to English. The first 5 episodes hit off really well and that suddenly allowed my confidence to continue growing. I even finished the comic and it was even broadcasted as a movie.
However, I remained a mystery in my last year which was the most stupid thing I ever did. Feng Xiu Ying took this comic to her credit. Actually what I was drawing before was the Epilogue for my Comic. Everything was still ok. I can fix all of this. I stopped drawing because I wanted to focus on my relationship with Luo Wen Ning. But now, it doesn't matter anymore. Qi Yan wouldn't mind as he supports me in everything. This I know.
"Aiya, Hui Qing, you can draw later. First, you ought to rest," muttered Cheng Li as she took my phone away and closed the blinds to allow me to sleep. "Your phone's in your wardrobe. You can get it after you wake up," explained Cheng Li as she made me hop into bed and sleep. "Gosh, I feel sorry for the patients you're gonna look after when you become a doctor," I muttered whilst slugging into my bed. "Hey," she screamed from the kitchen as I quickly closed my eyes. Surprisingly, I fall asleep quite quickly.
I woke up two hours later and I could hazily see someone's figure in the kitchen. The person was wearing a black t-shirt and cream trousers. I don't remember anyone wearing this outfit, but I was too tired to care.
I later woke up to see Qi Yan gently tapping me. I thought I was still dreaming so I muttered "How are you here?" and gently leaned to kiss his lips. I fell asleep again, hence I failed to notice Qi Yan's blushing face. After he composed himself, Qi Yan shook the sleepy me up again. "A? Why is it Qi Yan again," I whispered. I jolted straight up because I knew I wouldn't dream of him again. I had a whole screaming time when I remembered what I did.
After I calmed down, I looked at him weirdly as he brought me some congee. "Why are you here? " I asked whilst tasting his congee. It was cooked really well, like someone who had made it quite often. It had a taste of salmon and red dates. He probably added red dates for some flavour. "I told you before our watch was linked. So it gave me a notice that you were having a high fever of 40 degrees. And so I rushed here," explained Qi Yan.
