The situation with Lilian had yet to improve and I was honestly at my wits end trying to figure out how to get her to talk to me. It felt like Lilian didn't want anything to do with me. It hurt, alot.
"Lilian I promise to treat you the way you deserve so please just-." I tried to reason before she caught me off for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"Nelson." She sighed, her face slack with tiredness with dark shadows under her eyes. I felt a twinge in my chest, guilt weighing my tongue for a moment. I honestly felt bad for troubling her but I had to tell her.
"I know, I know!, We don't have time for this but you have to believe me." I say with all the sincerity I can muster. But Lily was brutal.
"Nelson!." She finally yelled. The truck screeched to a halt as I pressed my foot on the brake due to my shock. I stared at her , apprehension curling in my chest as I watched Lilian take deep breaths. "Lilian are-."
