"Where did you go with Rosa earlier?" asked Hayam at dinner time. He enjoyed his favorite roast and boiled potatoes.
"Lia wanted to buy toys. Rosa asked me to prepare Lia and Tian's birthday together," answered Vania. She peeled a banana for Lia so that Lia wouldn't drop the food on the floor.
"Are Lia and Tian going to celebrate birthdays together?" said Hayam surprised. "I don't know about it. You haven't talked to me about this yet, honey."
"Rosa also just told me about this this afternoon," replied Vania. "Don't think negative just yet."
"Sorry. I'm just worried that you're hiding something from me," said Hayam.
"I never lied to you," said Vania. She defended herself against her husband's words that sounded like accusations. "You put me in a bad mood."
Vania's face scrunched up. She turned her face away from Hayam.
