Next day both seth and Ace have started their training since morning 4..both did rigorous training.. Ace taught all the basics of javelin to Seth.. Seth was a quick learner so she mastered the basics preety quickly... Days flew by they became closer day by day.. Ace got feelings for Seth.. but Seth took him as her elder brother and a best friend who saved her in the time when her ship was about to get drowned.. she took him as her life saviour...as they both made a deal and promised each other that they had achieve their dreams and goals together.. and will stay together in every step they take.. Seth worked hard in order to fulfill his wish and returned the favour..
They were very busy in their world so focused in their goal that they didn't notice someone had been constantly staring them since day 1..
Soon The selections started...
on 1st day it was sprinter and marathon race selection of 100m, 200m, 400m , 800m and 1500m many athletes who were training last few days participated but only three athletes who secured the 1st , 2nd and 3rd position in race were qualified to participate on the district sports event..
2nd day was Discuss and long jump selection.. in each category 3 athletes were qualified to take part in the district event..
And on the third day... it was Javelin and Shot put selection.. this was the day that Seth has been eagerly waiting to participate in and show her talent to everyone specially those people because of whom the coach didn't accept her...
At first she was not allowed to participate as she was not trained by the coach.. after a long argument she was allowed to take part and it was all because of Ace and the high dignitaries who came to enjoy the event..
All the Javelin athletes had crossed the safe line.. and set their records the highest record was 21.3m...Seth was last to throw the javelin.. the coach completely gave up on her ge thought she is not even qualified to cross the safety line.. but his guessed was wrong.. the way Seth had been practicing and the skills that Ace taught her... summoned the talented Seth in her body.. she threw the javelin with great force and the presence of all the people who criticised her gave her encouragement...
The javelin stopped and got stuck at a point on measuring it Seth sat a new record of 23.8m ... everyone was shocked especially the coach who ignored her.. when Seth saw her own record she jumped with excitement and immediately went to Ace.. he was not shocked with her record cuz he knew she can do it and she will do it...seth successfully qualified to the district event that also securing the 1st position...
Ace too successfully qualified for the event both of them sat the highest record in the selections.. they were happy and excited and decided to work hard more than they did for the selections.. she sat on the field where they first met and decided to watch the shot put game as it was the last game of selection...
The first athlete who participated in the even was a beautiful girl named Rose.. with long hair, red cheeks, and a slimed figure she was the most beautiful girl present in the field and all the boys were head over heels with her, and all the girls admired her looks.. but no one admired her game... Seth decided to watch her game closely..
Rose took the round Spherical ball and paused for a minute and took a deep breath... everyone was eagerly waiting to see how much record she can set cuz she was thin girl and seemed like she don't even have energy in her body to even walk.. she immediately threw the ball with great force.. the ball fell on the ground and stopped at a point.. on measuring the distance.. it was 18.6m everyone was shocked.. thinking how can a thin girl like her can throw the ball to such a distance.. Rose came back to her place and watched the game of other players.. all the other athletes tried to set a new record by surpassing Rose but all failed.. finally she was successfully qualified securing the 1st position.. Seth watched the game carefully and applauded Rose's game she was extremely happy with her game....
After the selections were over the coach told them to come tomorrow to practice for the district event they are gonna start training soon as they had to be well prepared.... after that everyone left and went to hostels and home... Ace and Seth came to take a walk and talk about different stuffs as they were busy practicing earlier days...
Ace : are you happy.. Seth?
Seth : of course yes.. am super happy.. you?
Ace : me too finally accomplish our first goal.. now we need to practice for the 2nd one..
Seth : all thanks to you.. I don't know how to return you the favour.. you are the best you know..
Ace : stop thanking it's all due to your efforts.. and you don't have to worry about returning favour or something like that.. it doesn't matter as long as we are happy it's all good..
Seth : ( laughs..) thanks...
Ace : Well you said you wanted to do something when selections were over.. do you remember..
Seth : doing something.. what... I forgot.
Ace : don't you remember you said you wanted to see our hostel...
Seth : Ah yeah.. I remember it..
Ace : wanna go now..
Seth : now.. but everyone is present will they allow me to enter..
Ace : relax... we gonna sneak it..
Seth : what..!! what will happen if we get caught..
Ace : don't worry we won't.. let's go..
Seth : but.. are you sure..
Ace : didn't you say to treat you like a boy.. now then why are you afraid to enter a boys hostel..
Seth : fine..!! I am not afraid let's go..
Ace : okay..
