The maids and the guards weren't suspicious of Tania. They thought she went to the herb shop to buy stuff for her health. They didn't even question her about why she was so obsessed with herbs, because they were too busy gossiping about how pretty the view outside Wereal is today.
When somebody started and asked them what they thought of her, all three of them said that she was a nice girl who always smiled at them. But in their heart, they said otherwise.
They didn't want to forget how Tania often caused trouble in Wereal. She'd been caught sneaking once, and she had been caught spying on Duke Kleo's room.
"I think it's because she doesn't know her place," one of the maids whispered.
Now they were on the horse-drawn carriage, on the way to the Wereal. Even if they still wanted to walk around outside, they agreed that it was better to come back soon. So they didn't need to worry if Tania caused another trouble.
