Sanka widened, and couldn't believe what Tania asked her. "Yes, I still can check someone's pregnancy. Why?" Looked at Tania from head to toe, curious.
"I don't know." Tania was so angry she could hardly think straight. But then, it wasn't as if Sanka hadn't seen the signs before. Something small could make her furious.
Sanka'd been able to see pregnant women since she was a child but never had she ever suspected anyone of being with a child. Not even when she herself was pregnant with Tori. It was all too easy for her to blame the woman who caused the pregnancy.
But now what she was seeing was Tania, the most innocent girl she knew. And there were no other possibilities.
"You're pregnant," Sanka said, her voice soft and soothing. She hoped that would calm Tania down enough to listen.
Tania stared at her, unable to believe what she was hearing. But then she was happy because meeting the right person.
