Weggie didn't go back to Mr. Pinn's house, though she shouldn't have to. Maybe one day he will come with his son-in-law or maybe with some of his subordinates to bring her back because no one has bought her from him yet.
"But Mr. Pinn is sickly and dying. I'm sure he won't remember me because he was brought by his children to the city to be cared for," she explained when Gerald asked about her status as a slave.
