"I already said to use your imaginations, Brother," Gwennette said and did her infamous eye roll at him.

Prince Bertrand did not look like the type of man who would let her off the hook that easily. Gwennette knew he wouldn't. Rochester knew he wouldn't.

The Prince now had his eyebrows lowered with squinted eyes, gazing intently at his sister. Sooner or later, Gwennette would have to spill more details on how she'd lived all those years away from her family, Rochester thought. And for that, he figured it was high time he went away and allowed the Richardson siblings to enjoy their bonding time alone.

"Sneaking out of an important discussion?"

Rochester, whose limbs had veered themselves in the path of the hallway's entree, halted on impulse once Bertrand muttered the words he did.

Flipping a turn, Rochester said, "Why do you care if I left already? I thought I was almost invisible to you over here," he drew out a long exhale before he said, "Brett."
