His mouth curled into a smile, but Louisa wasn't having it. Granted, she was glad to see him, and she did miss him, though not in any way other than platonically. But she hoped, really hoped, that he wouldn't seem too upset by what she had the courage to say next.

Noticing the dull, sad look in her eyes, Thomas drew closer. "Are you all right?" He put his hand on either side of her arms, boring into her with his golden eyes.

"Don't." She told him next.

His eyebrows furrowed. "Don't what?"

Louisa swallowed to get her tongue back. "Hazel... I'm not her."

Thomas pulled his hands back to himself. "What do you mean? Are you an imposter?"

"Hey, Tommy!" the Neutral called at once. "We should get back to the horses. You know you can't be seen talking to her."

"He can't? You can't?" Louisa said looking at Thomas.

Thomas straightened his back. "That is not important. The terms of my stay in this place may have a certain clause, but that is not the point." He said calmly.
