In a short time, the Estate got busy. Rochester got alerted of the situation with Isabelle and so did Eloise. The midwife was immediately sent for, together with some nurses.
Through much help, Isabelle was helped up to the third floor at least and she could go no more. Considering how only Rochester's bedroom had been thoroughly cleaned on that floor, Rochester offered that they used his bedroom.
"Richard? When will help arrive?" Isabelle cried in excruciating pain. Though she was more anxious to see the baby than even the pain she was being made to endure. She was right on Rochester's bed with her husband kneeling by her side. In his irises, she could catch a mixture of joy and fear. But it was all worth it. Having him there was so worth it because she had been very scared about having to go through the whole process all by herself.
