"Yeah" he picks up his phone and Oreva's card.
"Here we go" he carefully dials her number and takes in a deep breath.
"Ok, hello remember me it's"
"Who are you talking to--" he turns around to see both Ome and his mom staring at him waiting for his response.
"Oh nothing" he immediately clicks the call button.
"Hello Oreva speaking".
"Oh hi this is Afo, you gave me your contact yesterday remember"
"Of course I do, took you long enough to call"
("Wait was she expecting my call") Afo couldn't shake off the thought that he had made a mistake in his love life as to not confessing a long time ago.
"Oh I was just um thinking we could both hang out this evening by 5"
"Aren't you guys having a victory party this evening"
"Yeah how did you know??"
("Did miss Hana also no way") Afo thought so since it won't be out of the things Mrs. Hana would do.
"Jete told me so"
"…Jete… you speak to Jete, I didn't kno--"
"Anyways I'll come if you aren't going to ask me to be part of the party"
"Huh!!" Afo was confused at her proposal, and answered the "huh" out of impulse.
"I want it to be just the two of us" Oreva immediately elaborated.
"That's great, just us at the park but um my little sisters going to be around"
"You mean the cute kid yesterday, sure"
"Okay then, see you in an hour"
"Sure"
"Bye--" he was about to tell her goodbye but immediately realized that the call had ended.
("Oh she already ended the call huh")
"Is that the girl from last night" Afo's mother asked out of curiosity.
"Oh no rather it's Oreva"
"You mean the young model" The mother asked once more with a disturbed look and was about to nag her boy but immediately lost the drive to do so the instant she remembered her own personality.
"Yes" Afo responded with a righteous look and a smile that would put the best toothpaste models to shame.
"Oh" Afo's mother responded.
("Oh??") Afo thought as he heard his mother's response and was a bit confused because it wa obvious to those close to him that he had a crush on Oreva.
"Ok we'll be leaving, rest up ok" Afo immediately tossed the topic and signaled Ome to cone over.
"Sure" Ome waves at Afo's mother before leaving as the mother greets her wave with a smile, she then proceeds to pick up a little envelope from her purse taking it to the kitchen where she stares at I for about a minute as if contemplating on something before setting it on fire.
"Things are better this way I'll rather not" as she tries to comfort herself disturbed face with a smile.

Afo arrives at the park and he immediately sights the team afar of, they had all gathered under canopy with a grill as they prepared barbeque and steak that Afo could easily smell from the distance, while some of the team members all engaged in one form of celebration or the other.
It didn't take too long before the a few members noticed Afo headed in their direction with his new lil princess that held his hand as if the moment she let go she'll be lost never to see Afo again.
"Hey it's Afo" the captain quickly calls out to Afo as he approached the group.
"Hi guys" Afo waved at them as he arrived at the position the others were gathered.
"Hey Mrs. Hana took her time to fund for an opportunity for us to go outing together like this after a game winning for the last time in highschool and you're late." The captain started nagging at Afo the moment they finished exchanging a handshake and at the moment Afo saw the group he could tell that his captain was already drunk from alcohol since he was a light drinker.
"Sorry cap. terrible traffic" he replied with a smile trying to shake off his being late.
"Besides you know that someone as good looking and talented as I am needs to spend a good time in front of a mirror so as to appear presentable." Afo shamelessly and righteously declared with him shoulder highly raised like a peacock.
("Hah again!!")
This was the thought pattern of every one who was available since they were already used to Afo's narcissistic personality that he had always had since junior high. Indeed, the boys in the group at first felt threatened by Afo's good looks, Slender yet muscular build talent and intelligence.
but after they got to know about his feelings for Oreva alone and his bad reputation for sending a few boys to the hospital back in junior high for trying to bully him every one began wary of him to the point that even his talent couldn't cover up for it and to make the matter worse Afo generally wore an indifferent expression for anyone he didn't know already, so girls found it had to approach him.
"So where's your pal Jete??" One of the boys asked.
"Ughhh he said he won't make it!!" Afo replied to them immediately.
"Eh why not"
"Well trust me I'm his best friend and I really don't know" Afo tried to make them understand.
"That guy, you two really are weird "The captain commented as he placed his hand over Afo's shoulder and trying to poke the bottle of alcohol into Afo's mouth as Afo avoids the drink.
"Hmmm" The captain hums after failing various attempts to feed his drink to Afo, Alcohol was one thing that anyone that knew Afo knew that he wouldn't drink and that came alongside smoking this was as an aftermath of his parent's behavior after they got drunk so he never wanted something like that no matter how much he was teased by his peers, so they had mostly quit their advancements.
"Ok -heouk- ok if it isn't our small lady" The captain turns his attention to Ome who stood beside Afo like a small purse that he carried.
"You know she's like your little shadow you know" The captain compliments they're relationship which Afo found the compliment as bizarre.
"Is that how it is" Afo asks the captain while feigning surprise.
"Yeah and I'm so jealous I've always wanted a little sister" the captain shrugs as he didn't get any reply from Ome who shyly clung and hid behind Afo.
("Well our team captain just like me he is the only child and I guess he might have really wanted a little sister, his parents are wealthy I wonder why he is the only child, I wonder if Nigerian couples changed, well whatever!!") Afo thought while looking at the other team members look at him for a response.
"Ok less talk, let me join the party, I have a few minutes till my first date"
"Huuuh with whom" the guys all respond at the same time with a complete look of surprise painted all over their face.
"What do you guys mean with whom..." He looks at all their faces since he thought it was already obvious to them and was more pissed off at their surprised faces and really wished he could take his captains beer bottle and bash it against theirs heads one after the other.
"It's Reva of cause, who else do you think would deserve this handsome face of mine" he shamelessly replied to them with so much sincerity in his eyes.
"Oh!!!" the atmosphere immediately changed as they all once again responded simultaneously.
("Oh again why this god-damned response every time") Afo was beginning to get irritated at these guys for giving him this response all the time, after a little while of them partying the time finally came, the moment Afo spent the entire day looking cool for, he quickly rushes to the restroom to check on his appearance and staring back at him was an extremely handsome young man.
("Not the best but not too shabby for my first date, well I can't even tell anymore") he exists the restroom as his phone began to ring causing him to pump the break to answer the call.
"Hello" Afo replied with a huge smile that would remind you of an old man from an adult manga that had finally seduced his hot teenage neighbor.
Why you ask?
Because of this.
"Hi I'm at the park entrance, thought it would be easier for us to find each other this way" Oreva spoke from the other side of the phone.
"Oh it's perfect I'll be there in a heartbeat" he ends the call in a jiffy and immediately hurries up to pick up Ome from the group and the moment he got there he didn't even have to tell Ome anything before she hurriedly went to unite with Afo like a puppy that the owner had just returned.
Afo on the other hand stretched out his hand for Ome and they both went to a newly and popular restaurant opened in the park, Afo opened the door to the restaurant and lead Ome to an open seat by the end of the restaurant. The moment they both entered the restaurant Ome opened looked around gaping like the child that she is attracting people's gazes wish Afo ignored as they got to their table as he immediately signaled for an attendant as a young man in a tuxedo approached them.
"Hey Mr. I'll be love for you to give her whatever she asks for until I'm back and put it on my tab" Afo ordered the young man as he nodded since he and their boss have visited Mrs. Hana restaurant in the past.
"Big brother will be back quick right??"
"Only a few hours would be enough right just buy anything if you still feel hungry, or bored or..."
"I got it go kolo" she nodded in understanding since she felt that this was somewhat important for him so she decided for him to have his night to himself.
"Thanks tiny" he pats her head and rushed off to meet up with Oreva who was waiting for him.
