she decides to ignore him and quickly cover the scars on her back with her clothes as she hurriedly gets dressed.
Afo after seeing the scars already had a clue why she was reluctant to him being in the room and ignores it after getting ready they both take his bike to his place of work.

They both enter into the restaurant as he finds his boss standing await by the counter, he hurriedly pulls her along to meet her in the office.
"You're a minute late Afo"

Ome looks at him trying to understand why he seems so kind enough to introduce her as his sister.
He takes her to the break room and points at a chair for her to sit down.
(Grrrrrr). Afo looks around to find what the sound was only to find out she was hungry.

she keeps quiet for a while, after finding out that she wasn't going to respond to him, he quickly gives up and heads out and brings back a plate of rice and sauced chicken.

He leaves with a smile, he walks out into the restaurant, Ome realized that she is inside a restaurant she had always seen in handbills and huge sign boards by the roadside it's a fancy restaurant and holds the position to the second best restaurant in the city.
And of cause serves various types of cuisine menu, after a whole lot of work afo finally closes for the night and is cleaning up.
"So how are you holding up"
Mrs. Hana asked Afo from behind with a smile.
"Academically and all??" She adds.
"I'm fine, I've saved enough for three years' college fees that is if I get into the one I'm hoping for plus I won't really need it if my basketball career keeps going smooth like it is so yeah"

"Well she's still the same but like you said she's still my mom right"
"Yeah, so how's the kid"
"she's in the break room better get going"
"I'll drop you off" she immediately offered Afo.
"Oh! No need to worry ma I came with my bike plus I can't leave my bike--"
"I'm offering plus tomorrow's a weekend you can come take it when coming to work"

Afo quickly grabs Ome who was already asleep carrying her from the restaurant into the car and they zoom off leaving the closing of the restaurant to Gerald a fellow employee there.
After a while of driving they finally arrived at Afo's home then Afo comes out of the car then carries Ome from the back seat, since she seems to be heavily asleep.
"Seems like she's a heavy sleeper!"
"Yeah seems like, thanks again ma!"
"No worries just get to work early tomorrow ok"
"Yes ma" she smiles as she zooms off.
Afo takes it in to think of how Mrs. Hana treated him since he was ten after his mother quit working and turned to the life of alcohol and all.
she even enrolled him for a scholarship exam thereby taking away the thought of paying fees in his junior and senior secondary school, she was like another mother he never had.

Afo shakes his head to brush off the thoughts and caries her into his room.
he places her on his bed after spending a while considering where he would lie down himself, and decides to spread some sheets on the floor and sleep.
after spreading the sheets he exits the room to go check on his mom as he was about to knock on the door he hears his mother moaning and decides to withdraw.
"Are they really still at it at this hour, looks like I'm gonna need a headphone tonight, Christ!!!!"
He heads to his room and lies down to sleep as he grabs his headphones.
The next day Ome Is woken up by the incessant ringing of the alarm, she decides to turn of the alarm only to find out that it's just 4.am in the morning.
she looks around to find out she slept on the bed she quickly decides to check the bed only to realize she had wet the bed.
she hurriedly starts moping around pondering what she would do but before she figured that out Afo walks into the room as she pauses with a scared face on looking at Afo.
"Sorry did the alarm wake you up" he receives no response.
"C'mon tiny I thought we've gone passed that last night"
he heads to meet her and sees the stain on the sheets, he turns his face looking to the ground.
"Pfff" he tries to control his laugh on seeing the shy face she had on.
"Don't worry I stopped bed wetting at eleven and you are ten so no probs" Afo immediately tries to comfort her.
"You're not mad?"
"Why should I be?"
"You won't beat me or report me to Papa?" Afo looks at her in discontent.
"Didn't I tell you tiny we are siblings now so we have to watch each other's backs and besides a person who beats a ten years old for bed wetting must be insane or something, so don't worry I'll take care of it"
he pulls up the sheet and then pats her on the head, she is surprised at his reaction and the pat on her head made her fill like her stomach was filled with butterflies and a weird sense of security and warmth was around her.
