Chapter 7 - Bureau of Transmigrated Cultivators

'Taotie killed. 5 Qi is gained.'

Liu Tang was fazed, still recovering by how much blood and flesh he was bathing on. The smell was even worse, something that he has never experienced before.

"This is pathetic," Liu Tang groaned. He slowly stood up as he watched the boy of the creatures lyinf lifelessly on the ground. The sight was awfully horrific if a person wss not used to seeing things like this.

Liu Tang on the other hand, has had a lot of experiences with corpses. Back in his old life, he would deal with evil creatures and spirits all the time so something like this did not hurl his guts out.

"Now how do I clean this mess up?" he asked himself, looking around and was wondering why nobody has noticed them. The battle that happened between him and the Taotie was intense, loud, and chaotic that it was impossible that nobody noticed them.

It wasn't until Liu Tang's nerves finally relaxed that a woman wearing a long, black trench coat paired with a pair sunglasses and a fedora walked by.

"Emperor Liu Tang," the woman greeted. "I am from the Bureau of Transmigrated Cultivators, from the Evil Creatures and Spirits Division."

"What?" Liu Tang asked. "And how did you know me?"

"That matter is out of my job order," the woman said. "I will clean this mess up, and you can clean yourself."

The woman threw a plastic bottle at Liu Tang to which he immediately caught. "That should clean any stain and remove any odor from the fight. Congratulations."

Liu Tang was, to say at least, shocked by what was going on. He didn't know why he was there, he didn't even know what her purpose was. Just before Liu Tang walked away he turned back and try to talk to the woman, but she was already gone.

Everything was gone, including the body of the Taotie. The damage to the area seemed to have vanished, like nothing happened at all.

Before he could continue investigating, Liu Tang went back to his room where the hallway was fixed again. He could still remember how the Taotie destroyed everything in its path, but none of that was visible now, gone like the wind.

Liu Tang played his keycard and watched his neighbor's door. He was now doubting that she even died at all. Maybe the Taotie was eating another human.

"No," Liu Tang closed his eyes. "I can't get involved. I must find a way to go back to the kingdom."

The man opened his door. He was now inside an unfamiliar room and doesn't know how anything inside the room works. Liu Tang had to shut his eyes and remember what DongFeng did in their cafe.

"Lights," Liu Tang said, recalling the time when DongFeng had to go to the storage room to get the ingredients they needed for the French press. "He did something with the white thing."

Liu Tang narrowed his eyes as he navigated to the light switch. He hummed, pressing one which made the bulb in the living room glow. "Oh."

Liu Tang pressed all the buttons, and now the room was bright. He smiled proudly at himself, now figuring out how to wash the stain in his clothes.

He was walking around the room as he took all the pieces of clothing in his body. One by one, step by step. Liu Tang observed the decorations of the room.

The body he was in looked exactly like him, except that he feels like he was much more handsome. There were photos in the desk where the original owner of the body posed for a series of photos.

"Are those his parents?" Liu Tang asked when he saw the other Liu Tang pose with two elderly people. "They look exactly like my parents."

For Liu Tang, this was incredibly weird. He was living a life from another world, and another person yet they have the same look and had the same parents' look. In this world, he even have DongFeng which was his co-worker.

"Then I must find Gu Bai and LiYue first," Liu Tang said. "They can help be get back."

As the man explored the room, he found the bathroom. It was a smaller room with marble tiles up to the half of the room and the rest was concrete. The bathroom had a dark gray color to it and the marble was decorated so that it would compliment the color of the walls perfectly.

"This is his washroom," Liu Tang said. He opend the switch and walked inside. There was a smaller room inside the bathroom which was divided with glass. Liu Tang went inside and watched the faucet that was placed over his head.

"How do you make the water run in these?" Liu Tang asked out loud. He then proceeded to touch everything in his sight. It wasn't until he saw the knob and twist it to one side that the water flowed out of the shower head.

"No!" Liu Tang gasped after a cold blast of water poured down on him like an endless rain. The man unintentionally twisted the knob too far, which brought down hot water.

"Oh!" Liu Tang shrieked. "It's hot! It's hot! It'sā€“ wait, it feels good."

The man took all of his now wet clothing and threw them to the side. With a wet body, he walked out of the bathroom, took the bottle that the trench coat woman gave him and used it as soap.

"How come I haven't seen the hot springs that provided such hot water?" Liu Tang asked. He lathered himself up with the shampoo, gently removing all the stains and just like the woman said, the stain and odor vanished.

As an emperor, Liu Tang did not know how to wash his clothes. He gently lifted the clothes so it would be hit by the water and poured the liquid inside the bottle over it.

This cleaned the clothes, so Liu Tang threw them to the side again. He continued to bathe himself in the hot water, grinning at himself at this pleasure.

He just didn't know how much it would affect his water bill by the end of the month.
