Chapter 62 - 62

...

Merideth walked in alone. Louise and Shirley were not with her.

She walked towards the main table and found her seat.

The venue was quite dreamy. The pink and white backdrop was screaming the word, romantic.

She thought that Andrew was for her. She never imagined their ending this way. Her father was not inside and many of the invited guests slowly filling up the whole venue.

It was getting louder and louder.

"I heard, Anastasia Su is really beautiful." A good looking aunt said.

Merideth scoffed upon hearing this. Had that woman hired some supporters?

"Yes. I once saw her and she really is a beauty. She could make her face a living but with the Su's wealth, she can live a life without worry." The other aunt chimed.

"I wanted her to be my daughter in-law but alas! The Bo's beat me to it. My son had a crush on her and still following her even in the university..." The good looking aunt revealed.

Merideth shook her head. It seemed like everyone forgot about her existence.

When the whole venue was filled with people, a man walked towards the stage with a microphone.

The show has began..

Merideth sat alone in the huge table. She was not part of the whole entourage and her sitting there alone caused a great uproar.

"Is that the first daughter?" Someone asked.

"Yes. Maybe. Only the family members are allowed in the main seat." Someone answered but still had doubts.

Merideth stayed silent but her heartbeat accelerated as the music played.

"Let's welcome the family of the bride to be..." The MC energetically welcomed.

The man was about in his fifties but he aged quite well. He donned a corporate black suit and black tie while the woman beside him donned a blue sequinned gown. It has a slit up to her thigh which showed her adult charm.

The woman was her step-mother, Clarisse Chu.

She was still beautiful despite being in her forties.

A boy was walking behind them sprinkling flower petals

Richard Su had that irate look on his face like he was about to throw that basket and ran away.

But the couple had that signature business smiles ignoring the fuming boy behind them.

Merideth really wanted to laugh at the scene.

After the MC welcomee them, they walked towards the main table and sat.

"Merideth, I thought you were not coming?" Clarisse hypocritically said as the woman settled down.

"I changed my mind on the last minute..." She answered without a change in her face.

"Excuse me..." Merideth walked away from the table and she texted Shirley.

She wanted to find her father and talk.

She noticed him while socializing with his business partners on the foyer.

"Dad..." Merideth called out softly.

The man looked at her with a frown.

"What is it?" This child of his will not initiate to talk if there's nothing wrong.

"Can I talk to you alone?
