Chapter 5 - Don't Come So Close to Me When It's Hot

Han Zhen carefully restrained Old Madam Han's crutch. He sat on the sofa and wrapped his arms around her waist. He observed her skin up close for a while and clicked his tongue as he said, "Grandma, I haven't seen you for a few days, and your skin has become much smoother and more tender. Looks like the skincare products I got someone to buy last time are quite effective. Why don't… you get another set?"

"Really?" When Old Madam Han heard this, her originally tense face immediately beamed with joy. She reached out to touch her face and said, "No wonder. I was wondering why my friends were all saying that I look good recently!"

"That's true." Han Zhen smiled as he narrowed his attractive eyes. "Grandma, you look especially young now. You look like you're 60 years old. Even 40 years old would be believable!"

Old Madam Han could not stop smiling, but still, she put on an unhappy face and glared at her grandson. "What a glib tongue…"

"Mom!" Zhong Yuhong could not take it anymore. She walked out of the kitchen and said, "Look at you, you've been fooled by him again."

An awkward expression flashed across Old Madam Han's face. She pushed her grandson's hand away and said with disdain, "The weather is hot, don't come so close to me."

Han Zhen was pushed to the other side of the sofa. He raised his eyebrows, stretched his long legs, and reached into his pocket for a lighter and cigarette.

However, before he could light up the cigarette, Zhong Yuhong grabbed it and threw it on the coffee table. "Why are you smoking! Alright, let's get down to business!"

Zhong Yuhong crossed her arms and looked like she was about to negotiate. "Since the parties involved are both here, Ah Zhen, let me ask you first. Are you planning to continue with this marriage or not?"

Han Zhen leaned lazily on the sofa. With no cigarette in his hand now, he could only play with the black lighter. He said nonchalantly, "When did I say I don't want my marriage?"

Zhong Yuhong looked straight at her son, trying to read his thoughts from his expression and actions. "Then can you make a clean break with those vixens outside?"

Han Zhen curled the corners of his lips. "Mom, I told you, I was just socializing with those women."

"Nonsense!" Zhong Yuhong said disdainfully. "That Lu Ziheng does catering. He owns chain stores all over the country. He should have more social interactions than you, right? But I don't see him going from one romantic event to another every day with different beauties by his side!"

Han Zhen raised his eyebrows and explained, "Mom, did you marry dad when you were too young? You didn't have any chance to understand men. Let me tell you, men approach things differently. Some men take to serious negotiations while other men resolve things in a lighthearted manner. As for your son, I am the latter type!"

Gao Xiaoxiao did not know what to say.

"You!" Zhong Yuhong was defeated too. She reached out and tapped Han Zhen's forehead. She was so angry that she sat there speechless.

"Alright, alright." Han Zhen held Zhong Yuhong as the corners of his lips curled up. "Mom, be happy. You can't be angry. It's easy to get wrinkles. Oh right, is there anything to eat in the kitchen? I just finished drinking with Yuting and the rest. My stomach is not feeling well."

"Your stomach is hurting again!" Old Madam Han frowned and immediately said to Auntie Lian, "Auntie Lian, go to the kitchen and make some hangover tea and a light supper."

"Grandma, only you dote on me." Han Zhen was successful in pretending to be miserable. He moved his right hand to wrap around Old Madam Han's shoulder and hugged her. It was an enviable sight.

Seeing that Han Zhen had solved the divorce problem with ease, Gao Xiaoxiao heaved a sigh of relief. She did not have the time to take in the happy scene in front of her. She secretly picked up her phone and turned on the surveillance system.

It was already past nine o'clock. She wondered if Xiaobai had gone to bed on time.

Suddenly, Old Madam Han turned around. "Xiaoxiao."
