But the thought of someone behind her was so terrifying that she froze at her place when she heard the knock on the door!
After a few seconds, she felt like the mattress on the other side dipped, and the weight of someone fell on the other side of the bed.
She had to cover her mouth to muffle the shriek that was about to escape her lips!
Her body started to freeze as if she was paralyzed. She did not know if she should act like she was sleeping and did not notice the presence of the being or should she take the blanket off and face him or her with cold eyes so that it would leave her alone!
The tears that had started to dry, started to form again in her eyes as she realized her life was nothing but a game of survival from now on!
"My lady, your presence is required in the dining room. Please open the door!" The sound broke her chain of thoughts and she wondered if the being would still be able to attack her if she would run and open the door!
