"I wouldn't be so upset over something that simple. I'll see her later!" Julian protested. "The most logical explanation doesn't make sense."
He hadn't quite put all the pieces together yet based on his expression and Rosalind was incredibly frustrated. How dense could he get? She was going to have to dumb this down for him even further.
She hated that she had to play matchmaker for her own parents but they were never going to get anywhere if this block of wood didn't learn to understand the depth of his own feelings. Unfortunately, the time had come for her to act after so many years of passivity.
"Answer this: would you be upset if I had a date so you couldn't hang out with me?" she asked.
Julian looked at her blankly. "Of course not."
"Why? Aren't we both your friends?"
"That's different. You're you and Izzy is Izzy. The two situations are completely different."
