Getting something tangible from her mother that was made with genuine care without knowing who she was threatened to make Rosalind break down completely. She was so alone in this world, even with knowing both of her younger parents and watching their rather ridiculous antics as they danced around each other in the way only adolescents could, but this made her feel so much less alone.
She had the illusion of feeling loved again. That meant more to her than she could say.
Being this far back in time without knowing what the future would bring was terrifying, especially because she didn't have any trusted adults to rely on. The adults from her time were both kids who obviously liked each other in some capacity yet wouldn't admit it.
