Lieutenant General Smith hosted the banquet party in his private residence in the New Washington district, in the west of the Chang'an district. This was a residential area that was mainly occupied by American descendants.

The Smith's private residence was a typical luxurious residence, covering an area of 1.8 hectares, with a three-storey mansion, a spacious courtyard and backyard, and a semi-indoor swimming pool.

A large number of armed guards were stationed on every side and corner of the mansion to ensure the safety of the banquet.

When Jeanne and Keiko arrived at the venue, it was already past six o'clock in the evening. The cold wind was howling, and the weather outside sent a chill to their bones.

After getting out of the car, Keiko quickly went around to Jeanne's side, opened the car door, and helped Jeanne getting out of the car.
