Chapter 129 - Reconcile

"I don't remember Captain Lee inviting me to dinner before." 

Keiko's face became stiffer almost instantly.

'This is wrong! The script isn't supposed to be like this!' 

'Isn't the damsel (Jeanne) supposed to be working together with the hero (me) to slap the villain (that jerk, Sistine) in the face? Isn't this how it always works in novels? Why am I getting slapped instead?'

Keiko didn't know whether to cry or laugh right now. This eldest miss was really not playing by the book. 

Sistine's expression brightened a little bit, and he looked at Keiko smugly, as if saying, "She chose me. Aren't you going to get the fuck out of here right now?"

But his smugness was short-lived. His face sank when he heard the subsequent sentences come from Jeanne's mouth.
