Chapter 3 - The Beginning

"Snow, such a wonderful cold and yet unique temporary weather. Especially here in Wisconsin. But why is it does it have to be so blasted cold!" Stated Malorn. This here is Malorn, 21 years old and still lives at home. He has also been unemployed for too long.

(DING)

"Who the hell is at the door now? Mother shouldn't be home yet." grumbled Malorn as he trudged up the stairs from the room in the basement to the door. Upon opening the door and looking outside he saw there was nobody there and promptly shut the door.

"Fucking little shits ding dong ditching, does nobody have better things to do, ugh disturbing my reading." He then went back to his room in the basement and took out his phone by which he was reading. Malorn is a fan of web novels as he's alone most the time and would rather read anyways. Among the things he would like in life besides a job or to move out would be the system that most stories have.

"Did one of those kids awaken a bell for an ability?" Malorn just really wanted to sit in peace and watch the snow outside the window fall. "sigh" Malorn turned to look at a picture that was on the shelf. The picture showed a man that looked quite similar to himself. "Grandfather, I will inherit your dream and hopefully attempt to help the family rise above."

Malorn studied the picture I looked at the things that were similar. He inherited his grandfather's black hair and hazel eyes. He also obtained a similar height at 6 ft 5 in. Unfortunately he also got his grandfather's figure at being husky with a noticeable amount of fat. Not actually fat but pretty chubby, which has made for him dating pretty difficult as well as his own self-image.

"Immortality I shall obtain and then go further and see if I can obtain the universe. If I can at the peak I wonder if I could bring you back as the only one that understood me."

"AHHHHH"

The noise of a bell kept getting louder and louder. Ringing in his head until Malorn finally collapsed unconscious. In that moment a brief golden light flashed on his body and disappeared.
