"Madam..." the man greeted after bowing respectfully.
Grandma Chiyo averted her gaze, scanning the entire room as if searching for someone's whereabouts.
"I never expected that you would return so quickly. How? Where is that girl? Why can't I see her with you?" asked Grandma Chiyo, storming the man with a few questions.
The man was silent, contemplating the appropriate words to say.
"Why? What is it? Did something happen? Why are you silent? Talk, whatever happens, I'm ready to listen to it," said Grandma Chiyo again, the frown on her forehead growing. She was ready for all the bad things that happened.
The old woman then walked to a chair and sat there while waiting for the man to make a sound.
"Madam… before I continue, may I ask you something?" said the man.
One of Grandma Chiyo's eyebrows rose, this was the first time the man had behaved like this, and it made the old woman feel even more uneasy.
