Jia xin was seating on the sofa, with her head down she didn't dare to look at xi yi. Xi yi was seating opposite her, his gaze on her were sharp but calm, he didn't know why he felt his heart melt anytime he sees her, she was pregnant with his child and was planning to keep it to her self, so many ladies were trying to climb on his bed even if just once but she was carrying his child and didn't even tell him. He was wondering why she was so soft hearted
" are you going to keep being like that " xi yi asked teasingly
" sorry sir" Jia xin straightens her body and smiled awkwardly
" you are pregnant "
" yes i am "
" did you just find out "
"Yes, i found out today"
" what are you going to do about it"
" you don't have to worry about me, i won't hold on to you because am pregnant. I have some savings i can take care of myself and the baby" when Jia xin said this xi yi felt like going to open her brain and check what it was made of. She was not worried about her self and what the society is going to say but she is worried she will hold him down.
" aren't you worried about what the society will say "
" hmm they will only mock me for a period of time, am used to it, they call me names most of the times but am still okay" Jia xin felt more relaxed talking to xi yi she even smiled more and she was now staring at his beautiful eyes.
Xi yi felt a tinge of pain in his heart after she said she was used to it
" I'll marry you "xi yi said with so much determination. She was surprised by what he just said she thought maybe he was joking or trying to make her feel better
" sir you don't have to marry me because i got pregnant"
" what if i say that's the case, i want my child to carry my last name and i want to give the mother a better life "
Jia xin was dumbfounded she didn't know what to say, getting married has always been one of her dreams but not like this so she really didn't know what to say. Xi yi knew this was going to be hard for her to accept but it was the best way
" Chen jia xin listen, i know this might not be what you wanted but your reputation is at stake. Our child will be called illegitimate if we don't get married, i might not be the best man but i will care for you and our child. I can't let you raise a child on your own as the father wouldn't that make me worthless" xi yi was trying to make her feel better
" so Jia xin lets get married"
Jia xin didn't know what else to say so she just nodded, he was right she didn't want her baby to be bullied or called illegitimate.
Her stomach suddenly gave a loud grumble, she was so embarrassed
" you are hungry" xi yi asked her teasingly
" .. yes but.. i can't eat anything without throwing up"
" hmm, ok " xi yi picked up his phone and dialed a number he placed the phone on his ear. His actions were making Jia xin's heart beat faster than usual, he was such a devilish beauty, he was sometimes angelic and sometimes terrifying. She heard him asking someone over the phone what a pregnant woman who keeps throwing up could eat, she felt really warm inside, the almighty wang xi yi was concerned about her health even if it was because of the baby she still felt happy.
" let's go get you something to eat. Rong zhi said you can try having energy drink first before eating anything"
" wait... which.. rong zhi are you talking about" she stammered
" how many rong zhi do you know and which do you think i would call. Let's go" xi yi carefully dragged her hands and walked out, Jia xin followed him with a blushing face she didn't know why she felt this way towards xi yi but she felt warmth enveloping her heart.
Both Dylan,Tang ning and mo ting were seating in a private room having tea, mo ting just kept blabbing about what Dylan didn't care about. Tang ning couldn't take it anymore she hit the cup on the table which made mo ting stop talking.
"Mo ting can you please stop being shameless, i didn't come here today to listen to you talk shitty things i am here to make you pay for betraying my best friend" tang ning blurted out as she stood up
" Ning do you know who i am, how dare you little brat talk back at me are you tired of living" mo ting retaliated angrily
"Fu*k who you are, do i look like i care all i know about you is that you are nothing but a serial womanizing bastard" tang ning made sure to slowly say the last two words with mockery
" fine i am a womanizer, what about your friend she is a such a stupid fool she didn't even know i was only fooling around with her she is the biggest dummy have ever seen"
" PAH" a thunderous slap echoed in the room.
Mo ting subconsciously touched were he was slapped he was so embarrassed and shocked, his face turned red from anger. He raised his hand to slap ning but stopped midway when Dylan finally spoke up.
" if you you hurt even a strand of her hair i will make sure you lose both hands," Dylan voice was calm but terrifying and cold.
" you first of all hurt Xiao xin now you want to hit ning ning, do you think they have no one. Tell me something are you tired of living" mo tiny felt chill run down his spine he never expected that this always smiling Dylan can be this terrifying
" Dylan why are you talking so much with him my hands are already itchy" tang ning butted in
" do whatever you want with him ning he wouldn't dare to touch you, seek revenge all you want" before Dylan even finished his sentence tang ning already landed mo ting a heavy slap
"Oh sorry, my hands slipped " tang ning looked at mo ting and smirked, she punched mo ting so had on the face causing mo ting to stumble and and fall on the floor. Mo ting has never imagined he will one day end up on the floor after being punched by a woman, he felt so much resentment but he dare not do anything for the fear of offending Dylan, before he could think anymore tang ning began to kick him furiously.
Tang ning vented all the anger she had inside in him
" you lying bastard.. you think girls are some kind of toys am i right.." tang ning kept giving him powerful kicks
" I am going to beat you till you beg for mercy, my friend is not stupid she's just soft hearted you hear me!!!!!" Tang ning screamed on top of her lungs she continued kicking him as tears rolled down her face. She was shedding tears because it hurts her every time she sees her best friend getting Hurt and she won't even defend herself. Dylan finally intervened as he stood up and held onto tang ning.
" Ning, it's ok he has been punished enough let's go back to xin xin before she gets worried" after listening to Dylan's explanation she finally calmed down her nerves and stared daggers at mo ting
" this is not over, am not done with you am only taking a break,"
" this is only a warning for now am still coming after you" Dylan added before leading the way for ning. Mo ting crouched on the floor coughing he looked pitiful as he coughed blood.
Meanwhile Jia xin and xi yi just exited the civil affairs bureau holding their marriage certificate, Jia xin still felt like she was dreaming, she was still trying to comprehend what was happening did she really marry the most powerful man in the city, how was her life going to be from now on. She was about to step into xi yi's car when her phone rang She took it out only to see that it was Dylan she hurriedly picked it and smiled which made xi yi frown slightly
" hey Dylan are you back," Jia xin asked while smiling
" Ning and i are back were did you go to " Dylan asked from the other end of the phone
" I just went out for a while i'll return soon, i will prepare dinner so you guys wait for me ok"
Xi yi didn't no why he was suddenly angry, she was talking to another man even telling him she will cook dinner, how ridiculous she was his wife for crying out loud, although they just got married, while he was still drowning in his own thoughts Jia xin already ended the call
" mr wang i have to go now take care on your way" Jia xin quickly said as she turned to leave but she stopped in her tracks after xi yi asked her something that shocked her
" when are you moving into my house"
That's right she never thought about that oh no this is bad how will she explain to Dylan and tang ning
" oh that, .. ehhhm you.., can you give me some time, you see i have to explain to Dylan and Ning so..." Jia xin was stopped midway
" you have 48hours,... who is Dylan" xi yi couldn't hide his curiosity any more
" about that.... Dylan is my best friend, he has always been there for me and he cares so much about me" Jia xin replied him smiling she didn't even notice that the air has turned cold around him
" get in the car i will drive you home" xi yi gritted between his teeth trying not to sound angry
" oh don't worry you must have lots of work at the office, there is a taxi coming i also don't want my friends to suspect anything i want to tell them my self." She smiled slightly
Xi yi understood what she was saying so he waited for the taxi to come and watched as she boarded it waving goodbye at him. He watched her leave before her too drove away.
