I am sitting in the stands and beside me was Cansu with her smiling face as always. I took a sip of my iced coffee. The tribune was so crowded that sometimes I couldn't even hear what Cansu was saying. People were shouting and demanding that the duel begin as soon as possible.
In the front of the tribune sat the notables of the town. My guess is that part was reserved for VIPs and they could see the field very clearly. There were not many people I knew among them, it was very difficult to see their faces from here.
A man with a microphone appeared from a part of the field that we couldn't see and shouted for us to be quiet. All the noise ended with a whistle. The sun was shining overhead.
The man gave a general speech first. I took another sip of my coffee because this episode was boring. He would first greet the incoming VIPs and then thank us for our cheers.
