Skylar's P.O.V
Sparks erupted everywhere my bare skin touched his. He slammed his lips onto mine, and I did the most stupid thing I could've done. I kissed him back. It was a slow, sensual kiss, not rough and hungry like the previous ones we've shared. When he finally broke, I was gasping for air.
"I am sorry," he said, sounding sincere.
"I am sorry for every time I lost my temper and hit you, I am sorry for practically destroying your life. Please forgive," he added.
I looked into his eyes and saw that he did indeed regret hitting me. I smiled at him.
SMACK!
The room echoed from the slap I gave him across his cheek.
"You conceited little prick, after all, you've done to me, you really expect me to just up and forgive you?" I asked rhetorically.
"What did you expect, for me to happily jump into your arms because you apologized?" I added.
"I endured years of abuse, neglect, and forceful intimacy, and you expect me to forgive you because you said you were sorry?" I cried.
I really don't know where I got this newly founded courage, but I hope it doesn't get me in too much trouble with him later.
Cain's P.O.V
I couldn't do anything but stand and watch her break down in front of me. I truly am sorry; I regret every time that I'd ever made her cry or hurt her in any way. I was stupid and immature and let my anger and Lucifer get the better of me.
"I'm sorry," I repeated.
She cried and exhausted herself, so now she's
"So, Doc, how far along is she?"
"She just hit two months."
So it really is mine.

"Why were you in Chicago?" I asked in the the nicest, non-threatening way I could.
'Probably to get away from you', chimed Gabriel
"I wanted a new start," was Skylar's short reply.
I was sure how to reply to her wanting a new start, one away from the pack.
"Skylar-"I started but was interrupted by her,
"I want to break up" she started," actually no, this is me breaking up with you."she continued.
A deep, guttural growl clawed its way up my throat, a primal sound fueled by the surge of raw, untamed emotions. It simmered beneath the surface as she spoke, gaining strength with each uttered syllable of the dreaded phrase 'break up.' Despite my desperate attempt to restrain it, the growl erupted from me, a seismic wave of intensity that reverberated through the very foundation of the house. It wasn't just a sound; it was an embodiment of the fierce, animalistic turmoil within, a manifestation of emotions too potent to be contained.
She screamed in response to my growl and then fainted.
I made my way back up to my room to see an empty bed with no sign of Skylar, only an envelope.
Dear Alpha,
I am sure that by now you have realized that I have captured your mate.
Don't worry; she is safe... For now at least. Just beware that you won't be seeing her again. I'm going to do her worse than you did my mate.
Love, CC.
