After disposing of the body, Mr. McCray turn his attention back to Abel who sat on one of the wooden chairs with his head lowered and he couldn't help but let out a sigh.
"You seriously need to start acting like a vampire boy" he said before getting a bottle and two crystal cups and took his seat.
After pouring himself a cup full, he handed the other cup of wine to Abel before taking a sip while Abel was just staring at the content of the wine in thought. And seeing him like this, Mr. McCray knew it has to do with the fact that he has taken a life and was just about to speak up but before he could, the silent Abel suddenly spoke up.
"How did you manage to subdue the werewolf".
Mr. McCray was shocked to hear him ask such a question but still decided to give an answer if it would be enough to cheer him up a little.
"well I have been trained to defend myself against any threat since the day that I have been turned and the more I feed on blood the stronger I get and let us not forget about the super strength that comes with being turned to a vampire, subduing my enemy becomes easy".
"Do you think I will be able to get strong just like you?" asked Abel but this time he wasn't staring at the cup but instead at Mr. McCray.
"Well…. As long as you are consistent with your training and also replenish your body with blood, you shouldn't have a problem holding your own without me helping out" replied Mr. McCray.
Abel nodded his head before placing the cup in his mouth before gulping a mouthful.
"facing the werewolf earlier makes me realize how weak and hopeless I am" said Abel before falling silent while Mr. McCray was patient enough to let him say what's on his mind. After some time, Abel let out a deep breath before continuing what he was saying.
"I want you to teach me how to fight Mr. McCray".
Mr. McCray let out a wide smile as his fangs could be seen before speaking up.
"I thought you would never ask boy but I must warn you, I don't go easy on my student".
"As long as I will be a good fighter, I don't have a problem about the pain that comes after" said Abel.
"It is settled then. You are to start your training tomorrow in here after school" reply Mr. McCray.
Abel agreed with a nod as he went back to drinking his wine and that is when Mr. McCray thought of something and asked.
"Have you mastered how you can use your abilities"?
"Apart from my super hearing, good eyes, smell, and speed, there is nothing else" reply Abel but seeing the disappointing look on Mr. McCray's face, he couldn't help but ask.
"Is there more".
"come see me in my office when you have some free time" replied Mr. McCray.
"Why can't you show me now" asked Abel.
"Take a good look at the time, it should be about time for you to head home before your mother starts worrying" reply Mr. McCray before leaving.
Seeing that he is not interested in showing him the other ability a vampire possesses, Abel could only get up to take his leave but that was when he noticed his uniform was covered in blood and couldn't help but call on Mr. McCray.
"What do you want this time around" said Mr. McCray in a cold tone.
"I don't know if you have any spare clothes here for me to wear since I can't go home like this" replied Abel.
It was only then that Mr. McCray also noticed the bloodstain on the uniform and with a sigh, he pointed at a room that was not too far from them.
"There are some clothes there".
After directing him on where to get some clothes, Mr. McCray left the room and Abel went in to change up which didn't take him much time to pick his fit before he took his leave.
Walking out of the tower with a wide smile on his face, Abel hurried home and this time around, his little sister was awake and seen to be discussing something with their mother but the moment he walked in, she became quiet.
"what were you two talking about" he asked.
"it's none of your business and why are you not wearing your uniform" replied Maria before directing a question to him.
"well I got into a fight with some boy on our way to the field and it got destroyed" lied Abel.
"And since when did you start going to the school field" asked Maria knowing fully well that her brother hates being in a crowded place.
"Since when did you still monitoring my life" said Abel seeing how she's questioning him.
"That's enough guys" said their mother as she tries to calm them down but that was when she noticed that her son look different.
"Abel, what happened to your face" she asked.
"It took you long enough to notice that your son looks different" added Maria.
"Why are you making life difficult for me you leech" yelled Abel at Maria who doesn't want to give him some break.
"you still haven't answered my question Abel" asked his mother with an angry look on her face.
"Nothing mother, it just happened all of a sudden" replied Abel.
"mother I think Abel is gay" said Maria as she make a run for it before Abel could make a move on her.
"You little witch, why can't I have a normal sister just like everyone else" he curses beneath his breath as he watches her leave.
"Is it true that you are gay?" asked his mother with a deep frown on her face.
"Did you actually believe what she just said" reply Abel as he was frightened by his mother's question?
"I don't know what to believe anymore since my son is beginning to act strange" said their mother.
