Chapter 25 - Be A Bride At A Fake Wedding

After school hours Mabel finally headed home. She was tired and needed rest. This was the longest she had spoken in her life.

Somehow she felt a bit uncomfortable, a bit scared that this was all going to end soon. Have you ever had the feeling where everything in your life seems to be moving too fast and you're so scared of the fact that you might end up hurt? That's what our loving Mabel Cee is going through right now.

She went upstairs to have a cold shower to relieve the stress after which she took comfort on the couch operating her phone mercilessly.

Going through newly updated feeds online and trending topics as well. Not that she ever commented but she had always loved reading other people's comments, you never know what you would find.

She didn't know how long she stayed that way just operating her phone but she only left it when it alerted her that her phone percentage was 15.

She left to get it plugged and officially became bored. Seriously how could Mabel Cee be bored. It had never happened until now, there was always some book to read or some show to watch but she was so bored that she didn't even feel like picking up the remote to turn on the TV.

Was this boredom or laziness to do anything? Having nothing to distract her thoughts, Mabel found herself wandering away to the offer placed on the table.

Be a bride at a fake wedding, Could she even pull that off?

She stood up and stared at herself from up to down. Right now she was wearing a green oversized T-shirt, orange oversized trousers and green fluffy slippers. What a great choice for clothings Mabel, you are surely going to be the bride of the day, she mocked.

She wasn't putting on her glasses and that was literally all thanks to Holden. She would have to shop for a new one but she would only have that chance till Sunday, without guessing, she could already tell tomorrow would be a really hectic day.

Soon the ringing of the doorbell pulled Mabel out of her thoughts and she couldn't be any less happier that there was finally a distraction, who could it be?

It was just past five in the evening and her Mom usually came home by 6:30. Being extra vigilant and also hoping it wasn't their weird neighbor who couldn't keep his dog at bay, she walked to the peephole to take a look.

Surprisingly or maybe less surprising, she saw Megan swiping across her phone screen continuously and she immediately opened the door.

On instinct, Megan raised her head up and gave Mabel the most sweetest smile ever. "We..... are going to have the best time of our lives tonight", she said a bit jumpy and rushed into the house and a slightly confused Mabel followed suit after closing the door shut.

" Megan what's going on? It's so late in the evening", Mabel asked probing Megan for answers but instead of answering her. Megan revealed a big bag which Mabel had failed to notice before. ' Was she carrying that when she walked in?' she thought a little confused.
