Chapter 9 - Conflicts!

"Oh, so that happened, okay." I was surprised that she didn't get angry.

"But maintain a distance from her okay". With a scary smile, she gave the statement.

" And here, this is the number of my underling. She will provide you with the information in the order she gets it. I can't drop my hands on these matters or the higher-ups would get suspicious as these matters are considered low class. And your onee chan has a reputation in the organization you know". She gave me a wink before getting up from the chair. She placed a small card on my table before she got up.

I was able to see her panties several times and I knew she also noticed me watching her. But unsurprisingly she was happy about it.

After some minutes, I called the number she gave me and in one ring it got connected.

"Hello is this Yuuta?" I heard a girl's voice which seemed younger to be an agent. She had a British accent mixed in her Japanese but I had no motive to ask about it.

"Yes . I think you know why I called". I said.

" Check your mail I have sent you an encrypted file, type your birth date as the password. I will contact you if I get more information". And she disconnected the call.

"She sure seems busy". I chuckled before moving toward my PC.

I checked my e-mail and found a weird mail in my spam that didn't have a sender's name on it.

On opening, various characters started appearing like it was a program or something with a small box at the corner of the screen. As she asked I typed my birth date and bingo it opened.

After going through the whole 8 pages file I found various useful things. These files were related to the hideouts of the vampires which were spotted in the vicinity of Tokyo, Kyoto, and the Shibuya region with proper coordinates. Since the hunters were already packed up with their schedule due to the sudden outburst of vampires, they still didn't had checked these sites. And I was sure the agent which sent me this information must have erased it from the hunter's intelligence data, or maybe I am overestimating her.

I noted all the coordinates on a paper which told me that this was a long way and at least need a week to clear all of them.

A total of 8 coordinates were on my hands. But the problem was that I wasn't sure whether these bases belonged to bastards or ranked vampires.

If I were to fight the ranked vampire, I would likely require more strength and for that I need...

'Blood'. I realized how thirsty I was as it was almost half a day since I drank Mahiru's blood.

'Even remembering it makes me go insane.' Her intoxicating taste still lingered on my tongue which I could pay to feast on but for now...

I got up and went outside to take a whiff of cool air. Since it was cloudy today, I decided to check on the first base which was relatively close to my area. It was risky moving in the day but I just wanted to check for now and see what it had to offer.

I walked leisurely toward the coordinates on foot without rushing and in half-hour, I was near the place.

This side of town was almost void of existence as this place was known for its junkyard. The junkyard had automated machines that's why no human was needed here and smelling the air I could sense that there wasn't a single human around, well I got the faint ghoul smell too which I didn't like much.

The place was made in a total of 3600 sq ft, fairly huge for a junkyard. Taking covers, quietly I walked inside.

The machinery wasn't active nor did I detect any movement inside. But the silence of the place was freakish, alerting my senses about the dangers residing here.

My scent was suppressive but theirs not. Well, some qualified vampires could only suppress their scent.

With shadow steps, I walked past a mountain of garbage and found a small room probably for maintenance.

*Rumble*. I heard the clouds rumbling suddenly, but I didn't get distracted or I would have given away the sound of my steps.

Vampires were hostile creatures who react even to small sounds of teeth clattering, so these minimal details must be taken into a note.

A wide window was spread across the front wall with a small metal door beneath it.

The whole house was about 15 ft in height, so it wasn't difficult for me to jump on it and so I did.

After jumping on the house, I stacked my legs on the edge and dropped my upper body. Since the sound of rain was working as a distraction, my small screeching sounds weren't heard.

I peeked inside the whole room and gulped...

The room was bloodied to the point where it seemed the wall paints were crimson however the partial green paint and the heaviness which the smell was carrying, made me sure that this redness belonged to humans.

Glancing at the other corner I found 4 adult humans, 3 of them women were just standing aimlessly. Like they were zoning out or something. Their face had blood stains and eyes glowing red with void of expression all over their faces.

All of them were bastards for sure, as these insane creatures don't do anything except drink human blood and wait to feast on it again. Their purpose in life was to drink blood until they won't become a higher class.

Well, they weren't aware of this fact, it was just their instincts.

Back to the business, I was sure that I could easily handle them mainly because of the potion I got yesterday.

So I didn't waste time and after breaking the window, I slid inside.

[A/N: I will detail only important fights as I am bad at it:( ]

Back in the town, Mahiru was wandering inside a mall with her three other friends. These three girls were somewhat closer to Mahiru than any other student so she hung out with them generally.

During the whole day, she only spaced out conflicting inside her mind. There were various things she had to think and take into account before she could form a decision.

Mahiru was somewhat mature compared to her age, as she always took any decision before she considered other factors, and this...this was about her life.

On one end, the thought of Yuuta being with other girls felt like cheating and unthinkable. But on the other hand, the desire to be with him was overwhelming other factors, making all her reasoning worthless. She liked his presence in her life more than anything, even she only spent half a day with him. His small actions had touched her heart to the point of no returning.

He gave her the security, the love, and the care she always searched for. And the most noticeable thing was that he didn't ask anything in return.

She was okay, if he would have sucked her blood yesterday and even in her sleep he could have done something to her but he never did.

(A/N: Who knows ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )

And more to it he even refused her twice and gave her time to think carefully, before concluding anything. She liked this thing about him too. She has started to forget how many things she liked about him and that was making her crazy. She never in her wildest dream had thought, that she would become so messed up because of a boy and more to it the one with whom she was a stranger a day ago.

After a whole day of serious contemplation, she finally decided...

After annihilating the vampires in the junkyard he went to shop for some groceries and new clothes.

On the way back home, he received a text from Maki that she would return late today so he walked slowly while enjoying the breeze and people around him.

He reached the apartment nearly at 7 in the evening with a lot of carrying bags in hand.

After exiting the elevator on his floor, he immediately saw a small figure sitting on his doorstep.

He knew who she was so he approached her in quick inhuman speed.

"Mahiru, are you fine? What happened?" He crouched down and asked with a worried look.

She lifted her head which was on her knees before.

With a weak tone, she spoke while staring at Yuuta's eyes.

"I want you".
