Chapter 32 - 32. A day (I)

When Mahi enter inside the car she feel something is wrong. No one is present inside the car except the driver.

Mahi know he's here by complete planning that's why he know which car Avatar usually drove.

Without saying anything she send a text and her location to Avatar quietly.

...

Kapoor industry.

The people nervously held their breath in anticipation. A few shivered at the deathly cold temperature in the room. Others were so nervous, they had cold sweat on their forehead and back. There was a few handful that was on the brink of tears.

Sitting in the enormous leather seat made for a King, was Avatar. With his stoic and deathly stare, the presenters felt their legs quiver in fear.

His eyes were so dark, it looked like an endless void of despair. His expression was so cold and frigid, it dropped the atmosphere around him.

Someone had nervously turned on the heater, but the warmth couldn't compete with the blatant displeasure on his face.

Even with his frightening face that seemed to know your darkest secrets, the female employees couldn't help but swoon at his handsomeness. He was so dark, scary, and formidable, yet, so pleasing to look at.

A deathly aura surrounded him, warning those who dared to venture close.

The room was so silent, everyone could hear the ticks of the clock. After a few unbearable seconds, he finally spoke.

"The meeting is dismissed." Without another word, Avatar stood up from his chair.

The people held their breathes as they watched him stand to his full glory.

"T-thank you for your time, President Kapoor!" Everyone bowed when he walked past them. They kept their bow, even when Avatar had walked out of the room. Not a single person dared to move until the echos of his footsteps finally disappeared.

When they knew he was on a completely different floor, the people finally stood up taller. A few blew out a heavy sigh of relief. Many of them tiredly slumped onto their chairs. Almost all of them felt as if a decade had been shaved off of their life.

Thank goodness the meeting had ended. There was a few that was on the verge of tears at the disappointed look on Avatar's s face. One of the female presenters was two seconds away from crying...

They didn't know their presentation was that bad until they took a glance at their CEO and saw how dark his expression had become.

"We're totally screwed." One of them said and instantly, mummers of agreement could be heard.

...

Avatar's private secretary, Gyan , followed after him. He opened the door to Avatar's office and walked in with him.

Just like Avatar's personality and expressions, the room felt lifeless and chilly. Right behind the enormous ebony desk was a window that gave the perfect view of the skyscrapers lining the city.

Avatar strolled to his chair and sat down. "Today's schedule?"

Gyan cleared his throat and began to read off of his tablet. "The Singhal Conglomerate's stock has dropped, but F&S Corp's stock has significantly risen. Should we continue to invest in the Singhal Conglomerate?"

"Continue to invest." Avatar said, leaning his chin on his propped up arm.

Just when Gyan was about to list something else, a beep sounded through Avatar's cellphone. He shivered when he saw the displeasure on Avatar's face.

Avatar ran hastily, while Gyan follow him without knowing what is going on.

...

Mahi woke up to an extremely blurry vision. She blinked a few times to clear her vision as memories of what happened before she lost consciousness flooded in, giving her a pounding headache.

She groaned while reaching up to rub her forehead but found her hands were tightly bound. As her vision finally cleared, she registered her environment. She was in an empty warehouse with her hands tied behind a chair, judging by the empty crates in the corner and metal structure.

She remember, that car only look like Avatar's car from outside but from inside it is nowhere to compared by Avatar's car. After sending her location and massage to Avatar, she wanted to knock the driver out but she when she tried to move and hit him, but she had become incredibly dizzy. She pressed a hand onto the seat in her attempt but the tiny action of moving her hand drained her energy. She squinted and noticed the air in the car looked foggy…

Her heart drummed in fear when she found her body unable to move. She struggled to open her eyes, only to see a strange dispenser near the air conditioner vent. She looked at the rear view mirror and felt her heart drop when she saw the gas mask on the cab driver.

"How cliché." She muttered and rolled her eyes at this scene. She could already guess what was going to happen to her. She had already experienced being kidnapped multiple times before. It was the price that came with being Kapoor's prized daughter and in the past, the now Mrs Kapoor. "What a bad day."
