Chapter 3 - Kenric Eldric Varus

"So, if it is indeed the year 3047, it means I'm back to when I was just 16 years old," a wide grin crept across his face.

"I can change so many things with this opportunity," he chuckled wildly, his laughter echoing with a hint of madness.

"Those individuals who wronged me will face the consequences," he muttered, his eyes burning with anger. "But first, let's focus on training before I set foot in the academy."

In Haevell, when young nobles reached the age of 17, they were expected to attend Haevell Academy to build connections with others of their class. However, as Kenric hailed from the declining duchy of Varus, he had often been overlooked.

Despite Kenric's undeniable talent, he had struggled to protect the duchy he cherished. "If my talents are strong enough to reshape this Empire," he thought, a persistent idea etched into his mind, "then perhaps... just perhaps."

Kenric stepped outside of his mansion, taking a moment to soak in the breathtaking surroundings before inhaling a large amount of fresh air into his lungs. A faint smile formed on his face as he looked out at the scenic beauty of his territory.

"I won't let myself be consumed by despair," he thought, a renewed determination welling up inside him. "This new opportunity is a chance to change my life for the better."

He settled into meditation, seeking to connect with the mana in his surroundings. Ten minutes passed in tranquil reflection when a ringing sound interrupted his focus.

[Mana increased!]

[Mana increased!]

"Huh? The hell does this mean?" then he tried to open the transparent screen he saw earlier,

Turning his attention to the screen, Kenric considered that it might be tracking his progress. "Nice," he mused, "with this, I can monitor my improvements and strive for even greater heights."

Kenric's meditation had always been a source of solace, a way to attune himself to the energies of his territory. As he delved deeper into his practice, he felt the familiar currents of mana flowing around him, a reassuring presence.

Excitement welled up within him as he realized the potential of this newfound tool. "This is incredible," Kenric muttered to himself. "With this, I can track my improvements with precision, focus on my weaknesses, and push my strengths even further."

...

"Why did you grant the Soul Promise to that man?" asked the hooded figure, its white robe flowing gracefully.

The man before him possessed striking white hair cascading down his back, and his serene red eyes, an unusual contrast to his hair, seemed like a perfect match for him.

Instead of a straightforward answer, a bout of hysterical laughter escaped him. After composing himself, he replied, "I don't know either. That man stumbled upon it when it was hidden from mere mortals." A chilling glint shimmered in his eyes.

'Interesting, interesting,' the enigmatic man thought, and with a mere flicker, he vanished into thin air as if he had never existed in the first place.

The man in the white hood sighed, his hood concealing his emotions. "A Timeline Elimination has been executed without any prior warning," he mused aloud, shaking his head. "I'm bound to receive quite an earful for this." Like the white-haired man before him, he, too, disappeared into the unknown, leaving behind a mystifying trail of unanswered questions.

Kenric's POV

"But with the power of that artifact, why would something like that be hidden in an S-Ranked Dungeon?" I pondered.

Don't get me wrong; S-Ranked Dungeons are incredibly challenging, but with the might of that artifact, conquering multiple S-Ranked Dungeons might not even scratch the surface. I mean, the ability to turn back time? That's something everyone would kill for, and it could potentially ignite the Fifth Empire War.

As a traveler from the future, I knew I had a unique advantage. Armed with my knowledge of what lay ahead, I was determined to secure every essential artifact and resurrect my family's former greatness.

"Kenric!" My reverie was interrupted as someone called my name. I glanced around and saw my mom beckoning me.

"Mom? Why?" I replied, puzzled.

"Let's have lunch together," she said with a warm smile. It had been a while since I last shared a meal with her, and I couldn't help but smile inwardly at the thought of lunch.

"Yes, Mom!" I replied eagerly, and with that, I sprinted towards our mansion.

Tomorrow will mark as the beginning of it all. "Wait for me, you fucking bastards. I'm coming!" I muttered under my breath, determination burning in my eyes.

[A/N: He's what???]
