He basically dove into her arms and clenched her tight.
"Do you forgive me?"
"As long as it's all in the past…"
"It is. I swear on every book in my library." She beamed.
"That's a ton of swearing."
He unleashed a deep breath. "I can't divulge you how relieved I am."
"I guess I am also. When I heeded you telepathically bothering about confiding me what you actually were…well, I didn't know what to reckon, but I speculated it wass something absolutely terrible."
Before they got on too far down that road, he grasped her and set out to finish what they'd begun.
Eve was delighted he'd ultimately confided her his secret, without just telling her. She still had her values to uphold. Was correlating with a known burglar an issue? She hadn't glimpsed him extorting anything, right?
Ethan nipped her ear, and she wailed. Dilemma? What dilemma? Had she simply been stunned about something?
