After hearing Mirseria's words, Arzlan resumed his footsteps. He was determined to continue the journey that had been delayed.
"This won't end until I reach my goal!" Arzlan's eyes were so sharp as if he was imagining that his opponent was in front, but indeed at this moment the faces of those bastards were in his mind.
Arzlan faces another problem, as a result of being in the forest for too long. Arzlan doesn't get enough experience to level up. Of course, two months had passed, the four heroes who were also people Arzlan knew were already at a higher level. If Arzlan doesn't level up soon in the future, he will definitely have a hard time.
His main goal was still able to be doing later after Arzlan's level reached 50. However, reaching that level would be very difficult, so the best option was to find a monster lair and hope that the monsters he encountered were at a lower level.
Arzlan didn't know where his footsteps were leading him.
Krsk…
Several steps had passed, and he sensed someone was following him.
Arzlan threw a twig at a strange sound coming from the bushes.
"Ouch…."
The voice was very familiar in Arzlan's ears, in a few moments a woman came out. Se carried a bow behind her body.
"You…." Arzlan is a little annoyed as to why he is always being followed by the girl he first saved when he was almost raped by a lecherous noble.
"Why did you throw me with a twig?"
She was still asking even though it was clear what she doing was not a good thing.
"Should I answer your question?" Arzlan with a cold tone broke the emotions of that girl.
"Uh..." Her cheeks turned red when she realized that what had happened was her fault.
"What makes you dare to follow me?" Arzlan immediately asked the reason for the girl to appear, not having time for himself to listen to the convoluted reasoning.
"I just want to come with you!"
"Why?"
"Why… well I guess you won't be able to fight alone without a partner!"
"No need, I'd rather do things alone! You better go back to the village, they are your family and your place will be safer if you are with them!" No need to be formal, whoever she is, Arzlan will remain firm even though the other person is a beautiful girl.
"Don't you have feelings as a human?" That girl was annoyed, after she got cold words a question came out of her mouth.
Arzlan before was to take a step became silent for a moment while looking up at the sky. "Since a long time ago no one thought of me as a human! I've thrown away the human feelings inside of me!" Arzlan walked again.
She was stunned, her not knowing what Arzlan had felt during his life, the only thing she could catch was that Arzlan had suffered so much that his heart died and turned hard as stone. Cold without feeling, pain can change a person.
Even though Arzlan had told the woman to come back, she still tried to follow Arzlan. Arzlan didn't say much, his gaze still remained straight.
They entered a very quiet forest, the girl could not understand why Arzlan had entered there.
"Where are we actually going?" asked the girl in a worried tone.
But there was no answer from Arzlan, his cold attitude indicated that he was uncomfortable with the girl's presence.
"Is he still angry that I followed him without permission!" The girl started to feel guilty, but she had gone too far to go back on square one. The distance they had traveled was four hours.
Of course going back would be very dangerous, but all of that was just a reason so she wouldn't be kicked out by Arzlan.
They then stopped after finding two branches in the quiet and desolate forest. Arzlan became confused which way to take.
The girl immediately showed her skills, she quickly checked the ground to be passed.
On the left she found some traces of beasts, while on the right there were no traces of beasts only a few footsteps of small animals.
"I think the direction to the right would be better because there might be settlements there!" Very friendly she explained it to Arzlan.
Arzlan only gave a cold stare, after that without speaking Arzlan took the left path. A place believed by many monsters.
"Eh...? Why do we take the left path? Don't you believe what I say?"
Arzlan did not answer the girl's words, only footsteps that continued to move without caring what was happening around him.
She looked down withered, really tired of herself feeling unappreciated by Arzlan. "Huh… should I just leave?" She stopped and looked back, the road she had just passed looked very scary. "But if I go back alone will I be okay?" She was hesitating to decide. Then he turned to Arzlan, the man's back was getting further.
But suddenly Arzlan stopped, and immediately turned his body with Arzlan's look of horror.
"Eh? What will he do?" The woman was surprised when she saw Arzlan who suddenly ran.
"Groagh!"
Unbeknownst to the girl, there was a monster that came from the direction of three o'clock. That monster a large white wolf with sharp teeth.
Arzlan managed to push the girl, but he had to be willing to be bitten by the wolf on his left hand. Arzlan was taken by the wolf and went away.
The girl fell, and she was delayed for a while before she realized that Arzlan had been taken by a monster because of her.
"No, what should I do?" Not having much choice she immediately chased the wolf.
"Maybe with this she will go back to the village!" Arzlan deliberately didn't fight back, he didn't want to put the girl in danger. If Arzlan directly fights the wolf, surely the girl will become the wolf's target.
The girl became very restless that she would not be able to calm, because she, Arzlan to be bitten by the vicious wolf.
"How is this? Will he be okay? What did I do, I shouldn't have followed him maybe this wouldn't have happened to him!" Guilt began to fill her heart. She couldn't stop thinking about the bad things that would happen to Arzlan.
46 minutes have passed…
There is still no sign of where Arzlan was taken by the wolf, she kept looking and looking until she found a pretty gruesome sight, blood strewn everywhere.
