Chapter 20 - The Death You Can't Avoid

"Are you sure you want to do it?" asked the girl. She still questions whether what Arzlan said was just a lie or not.

"Yeah, there's no turning back for me anymore! I am indeed destined to inflict death on those who have strayed in a different direction!" Arzlan's firm words are used. He had not thought of anything, indeed every risk he had thought of, but what did it mean now that he was alive.

Since the beginning of his life, maybe this is the destiny that the creator wants to give him.

After hearing those words, the girl could no longer speak. She already understood very well that Arzlan did have a strong determination.

Arzlan and the girl started to return to the elven village. Arzlan intends to leave immediately and continue his goal.

"S-Sir, you are back!" The elven youth who had high hopes for Arzlan from the start came to him.

"What's wrong? Why do you look like you're worried?"

Such a sad expression on his face was a sign that there was a problem he just got.

"Actually we don't know what to do! We are currently thinking of planning ahead! Hearing what you said last night was a joke, we all have to rack our brains to think of a solution to this problem."

"Simple!"

"Eh?"

"You just need to think about how other people can no longer interfere with your life! You and the entire population must be prepared no matter what, if the royals attack again then everyone here will suffer."

It sounded very easy for Arzlan to say, but it was difficult to prove it. Reality is too cruel, the fangs of fate always give horror, no one can defy time. They can only surrender.

"Sir, do we still have any hope of living?"

"Of course! No one can judge your life! Only he, the owner of the universe, can take things from you, not other living beings!" Arzlan said while imagining what had happened to him. The emotion of anger was reflected in his eyes.

The youth and the people who heard that were touched. The words that came out were like gasoline that ignited the fire of passion in their hearts.

"Right! But, how can we do that, while we don't have any abilities, we can only use arrows and low level magic. It won't be possible to fight the royal troops who have many formidable soldiers."

"Do you want to give up?" asked Arzlan firmly.

"Eh?" The young man was again made shivers.

"Do you want to give up on your current state? Let me tell you a little story! There was a boy who had no one, he was always humiliated and tortured. But, that doesn't mean the owner of destiny doesn't pay attention to him, because in the end that man has the power to oppose a world that is too cruel for him!"

Everyone looked at Arzlan with faces full of shock. They realized that it was too soon for them to give up on the current situation.

"Do you want something bad like a few days ago to happen again? Or do you want to change things for the better?" Arzlan wants to see how big the determination and enthusiasm of the youth and the residents are.

Everyone lowered their heads, they were deep in thought. They want to do what Arzlan says, but they don't know how to start. It was too complicated for those who were just ordinary citizens and commoners.

"Sir, we can't have the courage to do that. We have no one to lead and continue to ignite the existing fire of spirit!" The young man's face was lowered with a wilted expression that was like a flower about to die.

Likewise the villagers who no longer have the spirit in their eyes. It was as if there was no other way for them. Apart from being resigned to the situation, the determination does exist but the courage to be in a not-so-good situation makes the determination to wane.

"Huh..." Arzlan seems to have to take quite an extreme action. "Am I going to be okay saying this?" He didn't want to make a mistake in speaking. If he said a word without thinking like before, in the future those words would surely reap the responsibility he had to bear.

The youth and the villagers were waiting to see if Arzlan would utter words that could give them a fire spirit.

"Listen to me!"

Everyone started to raise their heads and their eyes fell on the source of the owner of that loud and firm voice.

"I think you guys are worthy of being used as livestock!" Such a rude remark that made everyone very shocked. "Do you guys just want to be slaves that other beings keep playing with?"

There was no answer, everyone was silent and embarrassed to say anything.

"If you really want to live as livestock. Then I will slaughter you like livestock!"

Arzlan pulled out his sword, a look of intimidation emanating from his eyes. The youth and the villagers were so shocked, they couldn't move their legs as if they were numb. Seeing Arzlan like a real grim reaper.

Arzlan's eyes flashed a red glow with the wind blowing around him, blowing his robes. Enough to make those who are afraid to pee their pants witness Arzlan's intimidating aura.

Arzlan started walking towards the residents. Everyone started to get scared, they couldn't fight back.

"Wait!" shouted the elven youth. But Arzlan ignored it.

Still, Arzlan's footsteps approached the elves. The first thing Arzlan was eyeing was an old man propped up with brittle wood.

The old man glared in fear. Arzlan's sword had been lifted, he wanted to cry seeing the gleam of the sword in the sunlight.

"See you in the afterlife!" Arzlan's last words before he swung his sword.

The sword then swung very fast. Everyone couldn't move some of them closed their eyes and turned their faces away.

Things!

Suddenly there was a very loud sound of metal clashing. Very surprising, because the woman who was with Arzlan had stopped swinging his sword.

"What are you doing?" asked Arzlan in a cold tone.

"Try not to give them more suffering!" replied the woman in a furious tone. "W-What a powerful sword pressure he gives off!" Sweat began to pour out. Her hands slowly began to feel tired to continue to maintain the clash of swords.

Arzlan's eyes then gave off a flash of light for a moment. "Things!" With that light, he then managed to jolt the woman, and throw the woman's sword far enough.

The woman sat down, Arzlan's sword was in front of her face.

"Do you want to block death?" asked Arzlan, a look that contained a very sinister element clearly visible.

"Uh..." The woman couldn't get any words out.
