Chapter 62 - Sufficiently Extraordinary Firmness

"Is this how you treat other creatures?"

Everyone started to look at the source of the voice.

"Apparently you guys aren't that much different than senseless humans, I guess you all would treat other creatures much more wisely!"

They started to instill hatred towards Arzlan or humans, everyone's mouths started throwing harsh words that cursed and judged Arzlan.

Arzlan slowly raised his head, a smirk he showed to Aleister.

"Bastard! What are you laughing at!" Aleister's emotions rose rapidly, he started to step towards Arzlan.

"Stop it!"

The atmosphere became silent for a moment, they stared at Ariesta.

"Father, why did you stop me from beating this impudent man?"

"Aleister what he said is true, we are Elves. A long time ago we were never taught to judge someone, we must be fair. If we want to punish him then do it according to the applicable law!"

Aleister clenched his teeth together as his hands clenched tightly. "Then what are we going to do with this human?"

"Let me ask him first, then I will decide!" Ariesta started to stare at Arzlan, the gaze that man in front of him gave was so sharp that it made his heart flutter. "This man's gaze, he is not a normal person. What is the purpose of coming here?"

Ariesta swallowed his saliva then said, "Explain to all of us, what is your purpose in coming here?"

"I came here just to deliver the three elves that I saved from the goblin lair, there is no other reason that is my only goal!" replied Arzlan with his eyes fixed on Ariesta. He was already like a tiger that was released ready to pounce on its target.

"Lie! You must have come here wanting to…"

"Aleister!" Ariesta snapped, already running out of patience with his son.

Aleister looked at his father with a look of disappointment mixed with anger.

"You should learn to be able to respect other beings, one day you will become a leader in this kingdom, if you can't control your emotions then this throne will forever not approve of you as a King!"

"Okay dad!" Deep in Aleister's heart, he wanted to rage and judge his father's stupidity and softness, all his anger was reflected in the veins on his forehead.

"Alright, let's continue! I wonder why you went to the trouble of escorting the three elves?"

"I just feel responsible, I found them near the village I'm currently leading!"

Everyone was suddenly surprised by Arzlan's words, they couldn't believe that a man so young was a leader of a village. They still doubt it, Arzlan's words sound suspicious.

"So you are a leader, what village or place are you leading?"

"The name of the village is Noctem!"

"Noctem, then over there who lives!"

Arzlan was really annoyed by the questions Ariesta always asked, it was very clear that the old man wanted to get information from him. He wanted to see how big a place Arzlan could build so he could make next move.

"Quite a lot, they are creatures from your nation namely the Elves who have lost their homes and there are also Dwarves who have the same fate. I was appointed to be the leader of them in order to protect all of them!"

"What a ridiculous joke!" Aleister was acting up again, this time uttering a disdainful tone.

"Aleister!" snapped Ariesta.

"Father, for now, let me do the talking. After that you can continue the conversation!"

Ariesta couldn't say anything, his son was getting wilder if he didn't obey his wishes.

Aleister took a few steps forward until he was in front of Arzlan, his gaze filled with disdainful eyes. In his eyes, Arzlan was a lowly creature that was more despicable than a cockroach.

Arzlan stared back at him very sharply, the atmosphere between them was so hot. Everyone didn't know what was going to happen, they stared at each other for a few minutes.

Then….

Aleister intends to kick Arzlan's head, a high-pressure kick that shoots out fast. Of course, it would be very painful for the kick to hit the skin, but Arzlan wouldn't allow himself to feel humiliated again.

The chains that bound Arzlan's hands were forced to break, then he held Aleister's legs with the palm of his right hand.

Everyone was shocked, the chain that Arzlan wore was a special chain that would curb any form of resistance.

However, all of that is useless. Right in front of everyone's eyes Arzlan stood tall. His body was enveloped by a huge dark energy, everyone present there began to feel horrified and frightened.

"Bastard! Do you think you can escape from this palace?" Aleister was on guard with his sword. "Soldiers surround this man!"

Well-dressed soldiers began to arrive, Arzlan was really in a corner. All the roads have been blocked by the bodies of the soldiers.

"Hooh… aren't you the best knight in this palace?"

Aleister furrowed his brows. "What do you mean?"

"I mean if you were a great knight you should have faced me one on one!"

They glared at each other.

"Bastard, alright! Everyone get out of the way, let me face this man myself! I also want to become a leader recognized by the throne!" Aleister gave his father a glare of hatred.

Areista became increasingly worried about his son's condition.

"I need one sword, whatever sword it is!"

The soldiers hesitated to do so, but Aleister nodded in approval.

Arzlan has gotten one sword from the warrior, he actually prefers his sword before this. That sword had been confiscated and placed in a special room.

Arzlan and Aleister started to put up on standby, the attack started from Aleister who was moving very fast.

Arzlan slammed his sword until it jolted Aleister, Arzlan didn't move at all from he was standing. Aleister was getting irritated watching Arzlan's relaxed attitude.

"God damn it!" Aleister returned to speeding up again.

Arzlan began to be fought by high-speed sword slashes, but none of the swords managed to hit Arzlan's body. After swinging the sword for a while, Aelister decide to jump back, that young man's breath seemed to rise and fall, he had forced his strength to attack Arzlan.

However, the bitter fact must be accepted. Arzlan didn't seem to feel anything at all, his face was still serious and relaxed.

"Damn it, why didn't he get hit by my attack at all? Am I too weak, no, I believe that this is due to the battle arena within the palace!" Aleister let go of his stance, his body now standing tall. "I want a fair fight, now the fight will continue in the real arena!" Aleister drew his sword very sharply.
