Refugees began pouring into the Starfall region in the east. The reason, they want to save themselves from war. Most of them are older people, women, and children. Most young men have been targeted for military service and advancing to the front line.
Apart from the war, they had other reasons to run away. They had heard the news of the massacres in some areas that their master had done to his servants. That's why so many people run. They may also be the next target.
The landlords had prevented them from escaping and sent even some knights to block the road connecting Venz and Versailles. But they were all instantly repulsed by the Starfall troops standing guard there.
That big avenue was an asset that belonged to Starfall. All forms of attack on that place were a form of declaration of war on Versailles. That was why ever since their knights were repulsed, no one wanted to get into trouble with Starfall anymore.
