Chapter 18 - EVERY DAY WITH OLIVIA

It's been six months since I came back from Venz. I'm in Randall's territory now. Everything went well and smoothly as I expected. Indeed there were some minor problems, but they have been resolved.

Chevron's city expansion project is also going well. The construction of the new wall is almost complete. If it goes well, maybe I will finish this project in 2 or 3 months.

Like I said at the beginning, if this project is successful, it will be profitable for my Guild and the Randall territory. Chevron will become a trading market and a center for the production of various goods.

I also intend to make the Chevron Territory the Randall Territory's sole food supplier by relinquishing our dependence on Viscount Zen's realm.

Some time ago, one of my informants sent a letter to me saying that he found a group of farmers who only focused on breeding one wheat variety with another. Therefore I sent a research and development team of alchemists and agricultural experts to work with them. Hopefully, we can develop a new variety suitable for the Randall area.

Speaking of Olivia, after I talked to mom and dad, they didn't mind my intentions. It was natural for a noble and his family to have a personal servant.

My two sisters and Lili would probably go crazy if they found out I intended to have a personal maid. I apologize!

I handed Olivia over to Aunt Andrea for Maid training. Originally Aunt Andrea was my nanny. Now she had been appointed by Father to be the butler of the Randall family's Mansion. Well, I feel a bit lonely actually, but from now on I'll be counting on you, Olivia!!

As expected of Olivia, she's an excellent learner. She acted like a professional maid in just a few months of training.

Andrea's aunt also seemed pleased with Olivia's presence. Apart from Alfred, who may have a cold personality, Olivia is a warm, calm, and cheerful person at the same time.

She accepted Aunt Andrea's study cheerfully. It seems like Andrea's aunt treats Olivia like her own child naturally because Andrea's aunt has no children.

Olivia herself seemed very happy to be around Aunt Andrea too. The other servants often saw that Andrea's aunt sometimes spoiled her. I have to. My expression melts seeing her 180-degree different attitude back in the capital.

Besides receiving servant education from Andrea's aunt, I didn't expect my two mothers, Luna and Maya, to give sword and magic training.

Ah right, Luna and Maya are also competing to pamper Olivia. Maybe all my older sisters have gone to school, and my attitude of being reluctant to be spoiled because of a mature mentality leaves them with no place to satisfy their affectionate desires.

Well, with Olivia's presence, they look more cheerful. Olivia, who probably had never been treated like that at first, looked confused, but she also accepted their actions. I'm happy if Olivia's presence is considered as family!

While the father's attitude towards Olivia was cold, yes, he is such a person even to his son. But he's a good guy! It's just that he is awkward in showing affection to his child.

The proof is that although he doesn't pamper Olivia like my mother, my father is willing to teach literacy and basic arithmetic. Also, the father teaches general knowledge in this world, and noble etiquette cultivates territory even to a certain extent.

Once again, as expected of Olivia, she is an excellent learner. She quickly absorbed all the knowledge given to me by both my parents. Even some of her abilities, including his father's servants, are on par with Albert's.

While my relationship with her was a bit complicated at first. Because after all, I was the one who killed her uncle's life. So, my relationship was a bit cold with her in the beginning.

She did become my servant and did her job well, such as waking me up in the morning (well, even though it was hard for me to wake up because I stayed up late), preparing for my various needs, and standing by my side when I was on business at the Guild.

But the relationship is like a professional relationship only. I don't mind, but I need someone to talk to who is the same age as me. So I hope she warms up to me a little.

Well, but that's just the beginning. In the end, she started to get close to me. Not only do we often chat, we even often joke with each other. Our relationship became more friendly. Even when I forbade her to work too hard while helping me with the paperwork, she insisted on doing it anyway.

In the end, I decided to make her my servant and my secretary in the Guild. Of course this time I paid the salary. At first, she refused, but she finally accepted reluctantly because of my insistence.

Well, that's more or less my relationship with Olivia. I hope our relationship will continue to be warm like this.

Now, on a beautiful afternoon in Romeon city, Via and I, a call between Olivia and me when it was just the two of us, were on our way to the Lily Sweet House. Via is similar to my three siblings (I consider Lili, my sister) when it comes to sweets, aka love sweet food.

As a token of appreciation for her hard work, we went to eat cakes and other sweets. As usual, I booked a VIP place to enjoy the sunset view.

After our orders came, we immediately ate them. I'm glad Via ate her food voraciously.

"Hey, take it easy, Via. No one will steal your cakes."

For some reason, Via's face suddenly looks gloomy.

"Does it bother you, sir? I-if so, I apologize!" she said frantically as she lowered her head.

Gosh, this kid. "Hahaha, of course, I can't be bothered by that. Even your face looks cute when you eat your cake. Be careful not to choke, huh." I took out my handkerchief and wiped the cream stuck to the corner of Via's lips.

Her face is getting redder. Gosh, so funny! I swear if I had a camera, I'd shoot it!

"Via, there's one thing I want to ask you. Please answer honestly. Are you still mad at me today? because after all, I have hurt your family."

Hearing the question I asked seriously, his facial expression changed. I saw a tear in the corner of her eye. Then shook her head a few times rapidly.

"Why is Is asking like that?! After everything you have done and given to me, there's no way I can still hold a grudge or be angry! I did lose my uncle, but I finally got a new family—Mrs. Andrea, your two mothers, your father, and most importantly, the master himself. I'm so glad you trusted me back then, so now let me trust you too! Let me be by your side forever!"

Gosh, this girl! I got up from my chair and hugged Via while whispering my thanks to her. At first, Via was shocked, but finally, she hugged me back.

In the end, we spent our time enjoying the twilight of Romeon in peace.

In the distance, a mysterious man observed two people standing on the balcony of Lily Sweet House. The man's gaze was cold but shady.

When he saw the girl on the balcony, this mysterious man smiled warmly as if he was happy about something. After a while, he disappeared into the crowd.
