Author's Note: This chapter is the second part of a three-part series that show why you don't mess with Alex when he has someone precious to him in trouble. I love these kinds of satisfying beatdowns when the MC just totally wrecks the stupid bullies, don't you? But, before that, there is some trouble brewing near Quaran.

It looks like everything is going according to plan. After I beat up the man, whose name was Quantix, they all immediately trusted me. That was the very first time I have met a religious group and was able to convince them on my first try. I thought that they would be the most cautious as this was the 10th Origin World, a world home to races of the 5th Order.
But, I guess humans don't change all that much, even when crossing into different worlds. Those Divine must have felt the urge to spread them into almost every world. Anyway, I had Quantix and his little friends tell me each of their unique abilities and, I was honestly impressed. It seems like they are all a talented bunch.
However, it seems that they themselves don't understand the full extent of their abilities so, I had them demonstrate them and I told them how they can use it properly and what they are actually capable of. After all, fear is not something that can always control people. Since old times, every tyrant had been assassinated by people who weren't even part of a combat unit.
That said, they will never be able to kill me. But, because they might eventually change sides once they realize my true intentions, I should make them trust me and become someone like a mentor and protector so that they can't defect.
Anyway, Quantix's ability is very powerful. It allows him to absorb the impact of anything that hits him, even through armor. Once the energy is absorbed, it doubles while inside of his body and he can release it back through any part of his body. The reason why his arm broke off was because his body wasn't able to handle double the power of my 5% finger flick. I suggested that he should spread that absorbed energy around his body to give him massive boosts.
Genero, the man who healed Quantix, also has a powerful ability. He is able to heal any manner of injury, even fatal ones. The drawbacks of his power is that he can't heal someone who has already died and he can't heal himself. So, if Quantix is the main fighter, Genero would be the healer who could heal everyone else even from lethal attacks, as long as he stays alive.
The other 2 people, Intego and Atoma, have abilities that are also mostly for support. Intego has the ability to fortify objects and can make things 1000 times harder at his maximum. It is very useful but, the drawback is particularly dangerous. The more he fortifies something, the frailer he becomes. Say, he fortifies a wall by 1000 times. That means that his body is 1000 times weaker, meaning he could die from a single punch.
That's when Atoma comes in. The sole female of the group and one who has the most intriguing ability. Before, she thought that she is only able to move things around. However, using Tekko as a magnifier, I found out that she is actually able to manipulate the particles in an object. That means, she can literally move the particles in the air together to form a solid shield.
They are quite the formidable team. I expect great things from them.
"Great Seer, we have confirmed the approximate amount of guests."
"Good job. How many will be present at the city?"
"There will be at least 12 000 people there. Quaran already has a population of around 10 000 so, the remaining are mostly visitors and foreign guards sent to protect the venue. What shall we do?"
"Around 12 000? That is a good number. We shall kill them all so that this world can be saved."

Hey, did I hear that properly?
The voice said that the daughter of Lord Elsher is a demon. Uncle is definitely the person he is talking about which leaves only one possible answer. That Kyra was a demon all along. Of course, I am not so oblivious that I had no idea at all. Ever since Glaive told me that my Aunt Alyssia was a demon, I had a hunch that Kyra was as well.
But, since I didn't know how demon genes are inherited, I didn't know whether Kyra was a half or a full demon. That wasn't my problem though. I wasn't about to start hating my family because of a secret that they had to keep. It was between the 3 of them as they were the ones involved. Me, an outsider, can't just start shouting about how they lied to me all this time and that they were traitors or something.
I decided that I will only reveal to them that I knew once they finally opened up to me. But, it looks like someone else has already found out. It all makes sense now. Why she hated me at the start, why she sounded relieved when I told her I was blind, why she was following me by going through dark alleyways. She might not have treated me the best but, she is someone I care about a lot.
I start running towards the central plaza. What!? My tendrils are feeling the bodies of so many people gathered here. No way. They did it here because that would attract the attention of everyone walking by?! This is very bad. I push through the crowd until I reach the front and bump into someone on the floor.
"Alex?"
That was Kyra's voice! She sounds like she is crying. I need to get her out of here and explain everything to Uncle Ostensio.
"Oh, the demon's show-off cousin. My little bro told me all about you and your various exploits. Are you surprised that the one you've been living with is a filthy demon? Isn't it weird that the man who is advocating for demon rights actually has one as a child?!"
"No, no, no."
Frick!
"C'mon Kyra, let's go back home."
"You think you can run? Your daddy can't help you now that everyone knows!"
This is getting pretty bad. I am starting to get a bit angry right now. No, don't act impulsively! Just get out of there! I place Kyra onto my shoulders. Oh, she is a bit too heavy for me. I'm probably a bit too tired from training all by myself.
"Don't worry, everything is fine now."
"No, everything is not fine! Daddy and mommy will have trouble because of me. It's all my fault!"
"Stop blaming yourself."
"You can't hide it anymore! A demon, a race famous for death, is living in a human city. No one is just going to get back to their regular lives now!"
...
That was when I felt something snap within me.
