THE 27TH DAY OF THE 8TH MONTH-
I was able to have a nice casual conversation with Luscia this morning. However, now I will have to work on my plan to get inside of the ruins of Ignis Drakonis. This won't be some easy feat as I will have to literally go inside of the volcano and find a way to control something that has powers that rival that of a god's.
So, I will be having a brainstorming session which will be starting right now so that I can implement the plan in the afternoon.
The first thing I will need to think about is the entrance to the volcano. Of course, it will seem very suspicious if I just asked a random person. I would be suspicious if I were them as well. That is why, I will need to enlist the help of Luscia.
She could probably ask someone who would know where a possible entrance could be, like a person who spends most of their time near the volcano. Someone like a farmer as they might have stumbled across a place that could be a possible entrance when they were walking around in their fields.
I can not ask a knight as they must know my connection with Luscia and they might report what she said to them to father. I can not ask an adventurer as they might ask for money in exchange for the information. I don't want to use my money now as I used most of them over the years and money will be one of my valuable resources once I start looking for the other Divine Beasts.
Now that I have covered the way on who I can get the information from, I will have to think of what Luscia will say to them as an excuse. It should be something that concerns the public as she is a noble and because she is known to be a good person.
Maybe it should be something about public safety issues? Yeah, safety issues should be good enough. She can say that she wants to locate where these entrances are so that she can tell the knights and the adventurers to seal it up to prevent people from going inside. Many people would think twice about entering a volcano but, then again, there are always people who would want to go inside, either because they want to prove something or because they are just idiots.
So, what she will say is covered. Now, how will enter that specific entrance? I can just have Luscia bring me to the place but, it will make her worry. So, it won't be as easy as that. Maybe, I can accompany Luscia when she asks the farmer and have him show us the place. That should be good enough.
There lies the problem. Since I will be telling Luscia that we will be blocking the entrances for public safety reasons, I will have a time limit on how long I can stay inside. It will be incredibly dangerous if I take too long as I could get trapped. So, I just need to make sure that I get out as fast as I can before the knights and adventurers arrive. Luscia can say that they will seal the opening during the late afternoon, to maximize the amount of time I have to get out without anyone suspecting a thing.
That should be it for all of the precautions we will have to take before going inside of the volcano. Now, I should be thinking about how I can possibly control the Divine Flame Beast by myself.
I remember that Death God said that the Divine Beasts were so powerful that they didn't need a soul, meaning that they are in a state in between life and death. However, I think that Death God only said what he thought. I think this because I remember him saying that the Life God found him and that he sounded scared.
That means that, even within god society, there is a hierarchy. It seems that Death God has superiors that did not tell him everything about the Divine Beasts. I mean, didn't Death God do it without anyone's permission? If I was the head god, I wouldn't tell my subordinate about something that they shouldn't know.
Anyway, another piece of evidence is that Death God didn't expressly say that the Divine Beasts were created by the gods. Meaning that, they were once normal animals or monsters. If that was the case, they should have also had a soul. So, there must have been an event that caused them to lose their soul but not die.
The only beings that I think could have done something like that were the gods themselves. I think that they either broke their souls or they just sucked it away like a Soul Eater. If they broke it, it would mean good news for me. If they sucked all of it away, it would be bad news.
It would be good if their souls were just broken because there would be, at least, a few shards and fragments left, right? Now, here comes my master plan. I remember that Death God told me that I have a soul that is 101 times bigger than an average human being and that I can freely manipulate it.
If that is the case, Death God might never have thought that the anti-soul-destroyer mechanism he gave me would be used to control the Divine Beasts. I can just split my soul and put it inside of the Divine Beast's body. Then, the remaining fragments of the Divine Beast's soul and my soul would fuse, creating a new being that I could, hypothetically, control because parts of themselves would come from me.
I am planning on doing this with every Divine Beast. That would work because of the convenient size of 101 times. That extra 1 would be used by me and it could disguise me as a regular human being. The remaining 100 could be divided by 5 into 20% of my soul for every Divine Beast.
This plan is kind of like the time I heard Corvin using his threads in battle so dexterously. I was able to use his idea and create a way for me to sense my surroundings without sight by turning my shadow into tendrils.
The same thing applies here. I remembered what Luscia's ability does. It establishes a mind link between her and any person who she makes eye contact with. Death God said that the mind is closely linked with the soul, which gave me inspiration for this plan. That means, I could probably do the same thing with the Divine Beasts.
It kind of feels like I am getting rewarded by copying others but, there are real life examples of evolutionary success by copying others. Though, it is not like I am copying them. I am just taking the fundamental principles of others and deploying it in slightly different ways and for different reasons.
Now, you must be wondering, where did I learn about evolution? That is an easy question, though it would confuse the people living in this era. I learned everything from Luke. I remember him saying that he was from another world and was summoned to this one with magic in one of our conversations.
He said that the concepts he taught us were some of the basics in his world. I wonder if I could prove to him, as his descendant, that I could be the very best, just like him.
