After I spent the entire day with Luscia, I thought about what I should be doing next. It should be something that is beneficial for me both physically and mentally. So, after I spent some time on deciding what to do, I chose to go stay with the knights in this village.
I chose this because I would be able to see the other knights like Corvin, Max, Jaysen, and my father after some time. They must have been very worried about me while I was still out.
Aside from just seeing them, this would also be a part of my training where I could train my body and try to fight without sight. That would be pretty hard to do because sight is the main sense you use while fighting but, it can't be helped.
Fighting is going to be inevitable when I consider what I will have to do in the future. Thus, this will be essential for my growth and success.
Yeah.

(Switches to Corvin's Point of View)
Today was just another day of training and sparring for the knight squad. This time though, we are having a little competition. The captain said that we will need to work even harder than before because of what happened a few days ago.
That is why, to motivate us, he said that he will give the winner of our competition a reward of their choice, as long as it is possible to do so. The competition we will be having is like sparring, except the person who gets knocked out of the ring first, will lose.
I am going to make sure that I win so that I can show all of the other knights that I am the best out of them all. Speaking of the training (competition), we are only doing this because of what happened to Miss Luscia and Alex.
According to the captain, Alex was fighting that monster by himself before it died. He said that after the monster died, Alex passes out.
Poor guy.
He must have really exhausted himself if he actually went toe-to-toe with that monster. I hope that he is alright. Maybe the reward I should ask for is the privilege to visit Alex again. That is what I must do.
"Guys, it is time to go! If you wait more, the captain will scold us for being late!"
I look up from my food and see Max shouting at all of us. Wait, is it that time already!? I stuff the rest of my breakfast into my mouth and run towards the armory. When I look around, the other knights seem to be panicking, just like me. Also, all of the knights sleep in the same building, to minimize the time they would take to get ready.
When I get into the armory, I get one of the wooden swords and grab a set of leather armor. I hurriedly strap the leather armor onto my body and run towards the training area. This area is outside of the village. Though, not far away enough that we can't respond to problems fast.
When I finally arrive, I see Captain Rowan and Vice-Captain Lucas already there. These two are undeniably the strongest knights out of all of us. Vice-Captain Lucas was actually the student of Glaive Kaneduro himself.
Glaive Kaneduro is considered to be the fastest and strongest Blink Swordsman in the world. He is considered as such because of his mastery over his ability which allows him to teleport anywhere within 10 meters of him. Since Vice-Captain Lucas was the student of Kaneduro, he should have a similar fighting style as him.
Captain Rowan's power is also undeniable. He showed everyone why he is the captain during our monster extermination expedition. From what I saw, he has the Light attribute and maybe another attribute/s we haven't seen yet.
Wait, are they even a part of this competition? I walk towards the pair and ask them the question I had on my mind.
"Excuse me, are you two going to be a part of the competition?"
"No, we won't. However, the winner will get to have a mock-battle with one of us."
So, if I win, I will have a mock-battle with them, huh? While I was thinking that, I hear all of the other knights start rushing here.
"Captain, sorry we're late!"
"Alright, let's start already!"
"I am going to be the one who wins this whole thing!"
The words the other knights said were varied but, they all looked ready to win. I am no exception.
"Alright, settle down now. We will be starting off very soon. But first, here are the people you will be fighting first."
The Captain brings out a board with the names of the people we will fight. I then scanned the board for mine.

It took me some time, and some help from other villagers, to get to the place where the knights usually are. Getting help from Luscia is so much more convenient than looking for it myself.
However, it is a weekday, meaning that she has lessons with mother right now. In times like these, I really wish that I can find a way to be able to navigate places easier. Anyway, I just need to come inside so that I can train with them.
I knock on the door.
...
No reaction. I knock on it again, this time a bit more forcefully.
...
Really?
There is no one inside? I open the door and enter. So, they must have forgotten to lock the door, huh? I feel around me, trying to find the walls. I never went inside before so, I am just going to follow the walls.
I extend my hands and feel the walls while walking around. I bumped into a few walls but, eventually, I started hearing noises and voices. The sounds must be coming from the knights. I walk slowly towards the sounds and walk up a flight of stairs.
When I came up, what greeted me was loud cheering and the sounds of wood clashing against each other. What is actually happening right now?
"And Somar is the winner!"
"Yes!"
"Damn it!"
Hey, is this some sort of battle or something? Also, was Jaysen the one I just heard announcing a result? I keep walking slowly, trying to make sure that I don't step on someone's toes.
"Alex, is that you?"
I hear a familiar voice right behind me.
"Max?"
"Yeah! So, you remember my voice."
"Yes, I do. Anyway, what is going on here?"
"Oh, we are having a competition to motivate everyone. The prize is anything you want, as long as it is attainable. You want to watch with me?"
I want to know who wins. But, I can't see them so, I will tell him to tell me what happens.
"Sure. But, since I might not understand everything that is going on, can you tell me what happens instead?"
"Alright. Oh hey, the next match is going to start. It is Somar vs Corvin this time!"
"Now, time for the finals. Fighters get your weapons READY!"
Yeah, Jaysen is really getting into his role.
"Alex, come with me to where Jaysen is."
"Okay."
We walked to where (presumably) Jaysen was and sat down.
"Time for the finals. Now, let's start! And Corvin starts out with a pretty conventional slash. Somar moves in to block it and, it was a feint! Corvin changes his trajectory and lands a blow on Somar's stomach, pushing him back. Now, that has got to hurt! Corvin runs up to Somar to deal the final blow and is instead met with a reversal of roles! Somar catches Corvin and throws him backwards, sending him to a defeat if he does not do anything. It looks really bad but, Corvin has a secret move! He instantly mobilizes his threads while in midair and uses Somar as a means to get back to the ground. With all of that momentum, he flings Somar out of the ring! Corvin is the WINNER!"
Max started describing the match to me so fast I almost didn't understand. It looks like Corvin won, though. Judging by the way Max said it, he must have really reversed everything. He said that it is hard for him to control his threads but, he just did it in a few seconds.
He really has grown.
Wait, threads?
...
That is the answer! I can just use my ability to make those to help me navigate. I don't need to make the whole thing tangible, I only need the ends to be like that. Then, I can go around without needing help.
This trip was pretty good.
In the end, Corvin fought a guy named Lucas and lost. He said that it did not really matter to him because he saw that I was fine. Everyone was pretty shocked when I told them about my condition but, I was still able to get permission to train with them for the rest of the day.
